while I was visiting but I knew the army didn’t care about personal life. He had to go in when they demanded it. I rolled on my side falling asleep. I dreamed of Oliver and our wedding. I couldn’t wait to share some of the plans with him. Faith and I had spent a great deal of time planning the wedding. I decided I wanted to get married when he got back from deployment and would be on leave for two weeks. It would be a small ceremony. I was hoping to talk to his mom to arrange for them to fly to Savannah. I had met his family on my last visit to Colorado and was happy at how welcoming they were. His mom and I talked all the time and she was slowly becoming a big part in my life.
I woke up to Oliver climbing in bed beside me. He was naked and I couldn’t wait to feel him inside of me.
“I could get used to waking up like this.”
He was spooning me from behind and pushed into me. I moaned at the feel of him inside of me. Sex with Oliver was amazing. But something about this time was different. It didn’t feel as intimate as it usually was. Oliver came fast and hard. He pulled out of me and I heard him drifting off to sleep. He had never left me hanging before. Getting up I walked to the master bathroom wanting to take a shower. As I was standing under the stream of water, I couldn’t stop the tears as I realized Oliver was slipping away from me. What had happened in the last four months? My last visit had been so different. His whole attention had been on me, and he was so proud to introduce me to his family and friends. I had to figure out what was going on. I wouldn’t just give up without a fight. Oliver was the one, and I couldn’t imagine life without him. I got out of the shower to get dressed. Heading into the kitchen I was thinking about my surprise I had for Oliver. I hoped this would change things between us. I looked around for something edible and decided to cook spaghetti for us. While I was cooking I felt Oliver come up behind me hugging me.
“I’m sorry I fell asleep on you, babe. It’s been a long week and this deployment preparation is getting to me. I am not ready for this. I don’t want to be away from you for a year.”
“I don’t want you to be away either, but we will make it through this, Oliver. I will always wait for you. I will be here to welcome you back. I promise.”
He turned me around and kissed me.
“I don’t know how I lived without you before. You are amazing, Skye.”
A smile flashed across my face, he knew just what to say to keep the butterflies in my stomach. I hoped he would never tire of me.
“Why don’t you set the table and I will have food out in five minutes?”
    “Sure thing.”
    “And, Oliver?”
    “Yes?”
“I love you more than anything.”
    “You too, babe.”
We sat at his dining table eating in silence, and I enjoyed his company. I was so happy to be spending time with him again. Nothing compared to it.
“I have something to tell you, Oliver,” I blurted out not able to keep the surprise from him any longer.
    “What is it?”
“My company has decided to expand and open a new location. They’re opening an office here in Colorado Springs. They have also agreed to transfer me out here. When you get back from deployment I am moving here, so we can actually be together.”
He smiled at me, his smile not quite reaching his eyes.
    “That is great.”
Why wasn’t he more excited? He was the one who had wanted me to move with him so we wouldn’t be apart. I fought the tears trying not to show my disappointment in his reaction.
“Do you want to go see a movie tonight?” he asked me over a bite of his spaghetti.
“Sure why not. Maybe we can sneak in a little hand job during the movie.” I winked at him.
    “You’re insatiable, love. “
    “Only for you.”
I got up, cleared off the table and put the plates in the dishwasher. When I was finished, we got into the car and drove to the movies. I was excited to spend some alone time with
