I
recognized that her looks were part of it, but it was more than that. I had no
problem controlling my body around other beautiful woman, but it became
unmanageable around her to a degree that was embarrassing to my self-control. I
didn’t want to feel this way. She was everything I’d been consciously staying
away from; arrogant, obvious, calculating…easy.
However, it was the attention the other guys gave her
that made everything within me simmer. I was scarcely able to contain all the
irritation and hostility that rolled around inside of me as I sat across that
table from her watching it all. There was no way I could continue to do so
without eventually exploding, so I made a purposeful decision to be as far from
her as I could.
What really stuck in my craw though was that I had to
consciously stay away from her like she was significant in how I lived my life and
that just made me angrier.
         “Seth, you’re burning the pancakes!”
Nic’s yell brought me out of my musing to see that I
had indeed burnt the griddle cakes. My irritation toward that annoying female
spiked further; she was even ruining my meals. I tossed the burnt cakes into
the garbage wishing I could get rid of these unwanted feeling just as easily.

“That was fun tonight.” Melissa said as we walked into
the house after our double date with Nic and Carrie. We’d hit Theater Park, a park where people showcased their individual talents, and then gone bowling.
“Yeah, I love going to Theater Park. There’s always
something new every time I go.” Carrie said enthusiastically. She turned around
in Nic’s arms to face him. “And it always brings back fond memories of our
first date.”
He smiled adoringly at her before leaning down to give
her a kiss…a kiss that lasted way too long in front of other people. Melissa
looked away uncomfortably while I just shook my head desensitized to it after
seeing it every day. Hell, watching them for the last few hours had rounded off
the desensitization.
Coming up for air Nic began leading Carrie up the
stairs throwing a smirk our way. “We’re going up to bed; we’ll see you guys
tomorrow.”
“You’re going to sleep already? It’s only ten o’clock.”
Melissa looked at them in confusion.
I rolled my eyes. Did she really think they were going
up to go to sleep? Carrie was blushing from her hair line down to her shirt
collar declaring loud and clear what their plans would be when they reached
Nic’s room.
“That’s okay, Melissa. We should head up as well.” I
reached for her hand just now realizing that we hadn’t even been holding hands
while Nic and Carrie had basically been almost on top of each other. More
disquiet filled me.
Melissa’s eyes widened and her mouth opened slightly in
surprise. “Oh, right, of course.” She agreed smiling softly.
I’d been looking forward to tonight. Not just for the
sex, but because I’d made the decision to move our sexual relationship forward
in hopes that it would intensify our bond. I wasn’t going to unleash all my
desires on her, but I was going to give her a taste.
All four of us moved upstairs to our prospective bedrooms.
It was a good thing Nic’s and my bedroom was at opposite ends of the hall as
well as opposite sides of the house. Neither one of us needed to be hearing the
other during sex.
I closed my door and scooped Melissa up into my arms pressing
my mouth down on hers. It had been almost two weeks for me so I was
exceptionally horny, especially since someone else had been keeping my balls
tight and full the entire time. I’d made sure not to jack off to thoughts of
aquamarine eyes and strawberry streaked blonde hair as that would have felt
like cheating. Melissa deserved better than that.
