unheard of for any werewolf she knew.
Before she realized what she was doing, she moved off the bench and headed in the wolf’s direction. The wolf started, suddenly aware that he had been spotted, but seeing who it was, raised his head and perked his ears.
So this was what a Dire Wolf looked like in their natural form. He was a stunning vision and as she moved closer she could see the exquisite details of his fur. Although the primary color of his coat was black, it was frosted with areas of the most striking silver especially around the neck and face. The wolf stalked closer, head low, watching her with cool blue eyes.
“Gregor?” she whispered as if uttering a prayer.
The wolf wagged his tail and panted, displaying that universal look of joy all canines had. And deep within her body something wonderful was happening.
Like waking from a deep dreamless sleep Eleana was suddenly aware of everything around her. The woody perfume of pine needles and compost stripped away the agony inside her and washed away all the confusion, hurt and pain. Unshed tears threatened to escape her eyes.
“They told me the truth,” she said to the wolf. “You were right.”
The Dire Wolf moved a few steps closer, licked the sides of his mouth and whined.
“I want to change, Gregor,” she said as her heart swelled in her chest. “I want to…” she let the words drift away on a spring breeze.
Gregor transformed into his human form towering over her, filling her with his commanding presence. “Then surrender to your instinct, Eleana. Surrender to me. Become the shifter you were meant to be.”
Eleana rushed into his arms, pushing her lips into his with eager desperation. She wanted to savor every second of this new and exciting rebirth. Running her fingers into his thick hair she smiled against his lips as a great and terrible knot untied within her. She broke the kiss and stared into his rugged face. “I’m sorry I didn’t believe you.”
“None of that matters now, my dearest. All that matters is your new life with us.”
Gregor’s soft lips demanded her mouth, parting her lips with patient insistence and sliding his tongue in to caress hers. He was so big and manly that she felt small and vulnerable in his arms. Not a common feeling for a woman six feet tall. A euphoric thrill warmed her skin making her feel more alive than she had in the past thirty-two years. She welcomed his kisses, returning them with a passion that bordered on aggression. Desperate fingers glided into Gregor’s soft brown hair delighting her with its pleasing texture.
Gregor’s mouth freed her lips to explore and enchant, finding tender places along her throat to nip and tickle. His hands roamed, caressing her breasts on the outside of her shirt, daring to slide under the thin fabric to bring shivers of delight along her flesh. A new emotion was born within her. Something savage and empowering was tearing its way from the deepest recesses of her soul to come forth and live. It was stronger than anything she had ever known and its potent energy threatened her very sanity. Never had Eleana thought such desire was possible, but here it was like a wildfire within her, threatening to burn down every ounce of self-restraint.
She pushed him back gasping, trying beyond her ability to think this through. “I’m worried,” she whispered. “What if I change and try to hurt my family?”
Gregor smiled showing his large wolf teeth. “Don’t be afraid,” he reassured her. “The change won’t make you do things you wouldn’t normally do. All that will happen is that you will finally become a Dire Wolf. And this is only the beginning. A new and glorious life awaits you once we mate. Your new life will be richer and more fulfilling with not one, but three devoted lovers who will do anything for you. Let yourself go, Eleana. Let me guide you through your change.”
    Fearful but excited, she nodded.
Gregor peeled her shirt off tossing it on the damp
