shoulder. “This isn’t your concern, buddy.”
Brad balled his fist up.
“Stop it, all of you.” Ella said. “Troy, get the hell out of here. I’m busy, and I don’t want to talk to you.” She turned away, walking in the direction of the elevators. Brad could see the desk clerk pick up the phone.
“Probably best if you leave now.” Brad and Wes faced Troy, blocking his way. He looked like he wanted to punch them both, and for a moment it looked like he wasn’t going to back down.
Clearly he knew he couldn’t take either one of them, let alone both men at the same time. “Stay the hell away from my wife,” he said, turning away.
Wes and Brad exchanged glances. After a moment, Wes stalked out of the hotel after Troy.
Brad walked over to the front doors, taking his time. His friend appeared from around the corner, shaking out his hand.
“All taken care of?” Brad asked him.
“Yeah. I think he’ll remember now that Ella is no longer his wife.”
“Anyone see you?”
Wes shook his head. “No.”
“Good. You know how she doesn’t like fighting. Let’s get back to her.”
Chapter 5
“Are you okay?” Wes sat down beside Ella. She hadn’t said a single word on the way up to her room, and she looked pretty upset.
Ella shook her head as if to clear it. “I’m fine. It was just a shock, you know? I haven’t seen him in months. And for him to show up here, of all places. I can’t believe it. How could he have found me?”
“Did you post about the reunion on any kind of social media?” Brad was pacing back and forth in front of them.
“No. Honestly, I don’t update anything very much these days.” Her expression changed. “Could he have gotten into my email? That’s the only place I have all my info. Including my hotel confirmation.”
“Why do you think he would do that?”
“He’s done it before. I caught him reading my messages more than once. I changed my password after that, but still.”
“He could have hacked in, sure.” Wes put his arm around Ella. “We can help you with that. Check into what he’s done, and set you up so he can’t get in again.”
“Yeah, that’s easy enough.” Brad sat down beside her. “You look like you could use a drink.”
“I think that’s a great idea. But I’d rather stay here.”
“No worries.” Brad produced a flask from his jacket. “Just in case the bar went dry at some point,” he said at Ella’s questioning look.
“Brad’s always prepared for anything.” Wes got up to find glasses.
Pouring the rum for all three of them, Brad emptied his small flask. Ella sipped at hers, seeming to relax. Ella stood up and went to the window, gazing at the city lights outside. After a moment, Wes stood and joined her.
“Better?” he asked.
She nodded. “I still can’t quite believe it. What a jerk. You know, towards the end he started trying to control me, although he had never done it before. I don’t know what changed in him, but it looks like he hasn’t exactly gone back to normal yet.”
“I don’t think he’ll be bothering you again.” Wes rubbed her arm. “If he does, just let us know. We can come to New York and kick his ass for you.”
“Any time,” Brad agreed, coming up behind them..
“Thank you. And I’d like you to come visit. For reasons that don’t include Troy.” Ella set her empty glass down. “And I’ve got better things to do right now than spend any more time thinking about him.” Ella slipped an arm around each man, hugging them to her.
Sliding an arm around her, Wes pulled her close. His mouth captured Ella’s, pushing all thoughts of Troy away.
His rigid erection pressed insistently against her willing body. Ella ground against the hard shaft, a soft moan betraying her need to feel him deep inside her.
“See how hard you make me? I can’t resist you,” Wes told her.
Brad eased her legs apart. As he stroked a finger over her dampening panties, she shuddered. His cock
