lips closed over his as she kissed him fiercely. Darius returned her kiss.
Nia withdrew and slumped back onto the bed, breathing harshly. Shifting, he pulled out and got rid of the condom. He moved to her side, then arranged her so her back was to his front.
Darius slid a leg between hers and cupped her rounded stomach, holding her close to him. Nia muttered, not really forming any words. Darius kissed the side of her face. She settled deeper against him and her body relaxed. He knew the instant she went to sleep, then joined her as she did.

A sound woke him. Not opening his eyes, he let his other being see. A small smile curled his lips. Nia was dressing in the dark. From her cursing, she’d hit her toe. She bit her lips, glancing at the bed to make sure she hadn’t woken him. Darius stifled his laugh. Nia finished dressing and left the room hurriedly. Darius used his mental powers and entered the code for the elevator for her. Once she was inside, he sat up in the bed. The sheet pooled around his naked body.
After they’d slept, he had ordered dinner. Then they had returned to bed and the passion had been even more intense than before. Two more times, they’d had each other. He’d been sure she was out for the night. Yet she had sneaked off. He glanced out of the floor-to-ceiling windows at the just-rising sun. Enjoying it, he waited until the red, gold and orange was high in the sky, then got out of bed. He stretched and went to get ready for his day. He had a lot to do.
An hour later, in the elevator on the way to his office, Darius laughed loudly. Nia was turning out to be a runner. It was a good thing he was faster.

Chapter Three

Whistling, Darius stepped off the elevator and strolled towards his destination. He passed two of his brothers. They smiled at him and walked with him to his office.
“She’s a lovely woman,” said Remy Wilde, his oldest brother.
“Yes. Although when we got on the elevator with her, she almost didn’t know what to do. But she pulled it together and even introduced herself,” Dubrinsky chuckled.
“She and Mia left together,” Remy said, the love for his wife evident in his voice.
“You’ll hear about dressing Mia and rushing her out so you all could be nosy and meet Nia on the way down in the elevator,” Darius said.
“I will, but I’ll use my powers of persuasion to make her forget about it.” Remy smiled wolfishly.
“I think she’s onto you, but lets you believe otherwise.” Darius laughed as he started his computer.
His brothers sprawled in the chairs in front of his desk.
“It works for us,” Remy said.
Darius wondered how long it would take for him and Nia to have that level of comfort. He chuckled at himself. So much for having patience. He was ready to move forward fast and get to the stage where they were comfortable with each other.
“Nia is a really beautiful woman,” Dubrinsky said.
Darius frowned. “I know. You all could have waited, and I would have gotten around to introducing you to her.”
“Hell, after eighteen days of dealing with your growly self, I wanted to see this woman up close and personal,” Dubrinsky said.
    “Not too personal,” Darius warned.
“Possessive already. Boy, you are as gone as Remy was.” Dubrinsky rolled his eyes.
“You’ll understand when you meet a woman who makes you lose all sense,” Darius said, smiling. Then he spoke again. “Where’s Ashton? I’m surprised he wasn’t in on your nosiness.”
“He escorted them to the front door, then went back to bed.” Dubrinsky laughed.
Darius’ eyes widened. Ashton was usually behind the scenes and didn’t like to be around people at all. He was stoic and reserved. Darius crossed his arms over his chest.
“You all are going to scare her away.”
Nia was already skittish. He could only imagine meeting most of them in the elevator would have made her want to run even faster. Remy and Dubrinsky smirked, not looking at all apologetic.
    “Get out.
