trousers couldn’t compete with feeling the tight muscles tense and relax as Aaron rocked his hips and rubbed their bodies together.
Danny had to get rid of the leather separating them. He had to. He growled against Aaron’s lips and fumbled at the back of his trousers. It was no use. Aaron’s belt made it impossible for him to slide his hand down the back of his trousers to cop a proper feel.
Giving up on that, Danny tipped his head back in response to a harder tug on his hair. Aaron nipped the tip of his tongue as the movement made Danny open his mouth, but Danny only parted his lips wider, loving the shot of adrenaline the bite offered him.
A new tactic. Clumsy with need, he frantically tried to worm his hand between them and find Aaron’s belt buckle. He had to feel skin under his hand while he groped his first ever lover. Leather was his favourite material in existence, but barriers between them were a crime against all that was noble and beautiful in the world.
    “No.” Aaron stepped back.
    Danny froze. “What?”
Aaron caught hold of Danny’s wrists, just below the cuffs.
Cuffs… Danny had only applied the restraints to himself some ten or fifteen minutes earlier. Now, he looked down at them as if he’d never seen them before.
“Those cuffs are on you for a reason,” Aaron said. “You’re not allowed to reach for cock tonight.”
    “I wasn’t trying to!”
Aaron raised an eyebrow, so bloody sure of himself. So confident that he had the right to act like the adult, the expert, the dom.
“I was trying to undo your belt so I could grab your arse properly,” Danny snapped.
Aaron laughed. “Well, you’re not allowed to do that either.”
Who the hell do you think you are, telling me what I can and can’t do?
For better or worse, the answer rushed to the front of Danny’s mind, hot on the heels of the question.
He’s the man I promised to obey.
Danny grunted with frustration, as annoyed with his own confused thoughts as he was with anything Aaron had done now, or might do in the future.
Aaron let go of Danny’s wrists and pushed against his chest. Caught off guard, he tumbled backward onto the bed. He’d barely had time to bounce once before Aaron grabbed his nearest wrist and fastened the cuff to one of the thick black-metal bedposts.
Striding around the bottom of the bed, Aaron repeated the process with the other cuff and the second bedpost, tugging Danny unceremoniously across the mattress in the process.
The world slowed down. Physics be damned, all the properties of time and space altered in that moment.
    He was helpless.
Yes, he’d tried the cuffs on when he’d been on his own in the room—probably more often than any man should admit to, but he’d never actually been helpless when he wore them. He looked from one thick leather restraint to the other. He’d need to have one hand free if he ever hoped to be able to undo either cuff.
Danny swallowed and sensed his Adam’s apple bob in agonisingly slow motion. He turned his head. His room seemed more brightly lit than it had been a few seconds before. The air was cooler against his skin. He took a deep breath. Even his lungs felt different.
The lemony scent of freshly laundered bed sheets hung in the atmosphere. Another deep breath. There was more than a trace of arousal and leather swirling around the attic too. He closed his eyes and fought to take in the sudden rush of information.
The mattress was soft beneath him. One dodgy bedspring dug into his hip when he shifted his weight.
    “Feels good, doesn’t it?”
Danny opened his eyes. With his arms spread wide toward the head of the bed, he couldn’t sit up or close the gap between Aaron and himself. He lay in a messy heap against the pillows, unable to do anything but wait. Did that feel good?
No. Good wasn’t a magnificent enough word. It didn’t come close to encompassing all the things that being tied to that bed meant to Danny. He wasn’t sure any such word
