to many different realms but the one topic that remained popular above all others was their son and his new baby.
Gloria’s house was full of baby stuff too. The only difference between them was that Gloria did most of her shopping online. Either way both grandmothers were equally prepared and equally excited about the newest member of their family.
As Pamela exited the crowded store heading for her car, she thought back to the night she lifted Tyce out of the grimy dumpster. It seemed like yesterday although it had been nearly three decades ago. She was a young lady holding a baby in her arms and now her baby was having a baby. God truly does work in mysterious ways.

Honesty Is The Best Policy

It had been two days since the lunch meeting with Dallas and I found myself sitting on the couch watching T.V. debating if I should tell Angelique about it. Part of me was like go head and tell her while the other side of me was screaming what she don’t know won’t hurt her . I reasoned that telling her would only add to her stress. But, on the other hand, if she found out then it would look like I was trying to hide something. The truth was I had no intentions of fucking Dallas or anything like that. I was just curious about what she had to say.
I laid my head back on the soft leather sofa and rubbed my hand over my hair in a forward motion. My eyes had just closed when she walked in the living room with her head phones on. She was singing right along with Monica.
“ It’s jus’ one of them daaaays, thata girl goes thruuuu, when I’m angry insiiiiide, don’t wanna take it out on youuuuuu. ”
I smiled to myself. Angelique really had a great voice, although she didn’t show it often enough for me. I always had a little soft spot for a woman that could carry a note. She looked in my direction and I took that opportunity to wave her over to me. As she crossed the room I patted my lap letting her know exactly where I wanted her to sit. The smell of cocoa butter and lavender body mist greeted my nostrils as she sat down in her assigned seat.
“Wasup honey dick.”
Angelique put the head phones on her thigh and kissed me lightly on the lips.
“I wanted to ummmm…” I hesitated cocking my head to the side.
She raised her thin eyebrows, “You wanted to ummmm what?”
I took a deep breath and decided to go with the honest approach. I had to admit that decision was totally against my better judgment. A year ago I would not even be having this internal conversation with myself. I never had to explain my movements to anybody, especially when it came to women. I don’t care if a chic dipped my dick in warm caramel and sucked it off until her tongue fell asleep. I don’t care if I had a foursome with a pair of twins and their freaky ass mom. I don’t care if I fucked a female for three hours nonstop and then paid her to leave me alone…it was my business. But, shit changes, and now I did have to explain myself…even if I didn’t want to.
“I had lunch with Dallas.” I stared into her eyes.
There was a pause while the new information sunk in. Normally I could read women very well, but this time was different. I really couldn’t get a bead on her.
“Was it jus’ lunch?” Angelique placed her hand on my chest.
“Yeah, matter of fact I didn’t even eat. I was only there like 30 minutes.”
“That snake ass bitch.” Angelique whispered to herself. “What did she say?”
I sighed a little. “She was jus’ goin’ on and on about how much she missed me and wanted me to give her a second chance. She told me she wouldn’t fuck it up this time. Oh, she said she hates your fuckin’ guts and you aint shit compared to her.” Angelique and I shared a laugh at that one. I was relieved she was taking my confession so well. Don’t get it twisted, I wasn’t afraid of her, I just didn’t want to upset her.
“Well trust me; the feeling
