can’t
be gentle this time it’s been too long,” he said in
    a strangled voice.
“No worries,” she said, shivering against
    him.
That was all Brandon needed to hear. He
thrust in and out of her like a man possessed. It
wasn’t enough. He needed to be closer. Coming
up on his knees he placed his hands under her
hips, lifted her off the bed, and moved her up
    and down on his erection.
He threw his head back and let out a
growl that could probably be heard down the
hall. He started thrusting even harder into her.
Her vaginal walls tightened around his cock.
Her body trembled and she screamed out her
orgasm. The force of her orgasm sent him over
the edge as well. His release was so powerful
that, had he not been holding onto her, he
probably would have fallen backwards onto the
bed. His shout of completion was fierce and
    animal-like.
His body felt as if it were shattering into a
million pieces. He was suddenly drained of
energy. He collapsed on top of her. She panted,
rubbing her hands up and down his back. He
basked in the feel of her touch. Damn, would

he ever get enough of her? As weak as he was,
    he wanted her again.
    “Babe,” he whispered breathlessly.
“Hmm,” she croaked out, no doubt still
affected by what they’d just shared.
“I think I’m getting old, ‘cause damned if
I didn’t almost kill myself,” he smiled against
    her neck.
“You’re so silly.” Her stomach rumbled
and he knew that she was laughing. Good. He
    wanted her happy.
Brandon rolled off of Dominique and
pulled her into his arms. Her head rested on his
shoulder. “We have to settle this, Dominique. I
can’t take this living apart anymore. This has
been going on for far too long.”
    “I know,” she said softly.
“When we first started seeing each other
three years ago, I wasn’t happy with us keeping
our relationship a secret from our families, but
I understood why. You thought your family
would have a problem with our relationship,
    especially your dad.”
“I am certain that my dad would have had
a problem with it,” Dominique interjected.
Brandon continued as if she hadn’t
spoken. “We agreed to tell our families…and

then your dad had the near fatal heart attack
before we could make our announcement.”
“You know why we couldn’t then,
    Brandon,” Dominique said quietly.
“Yes, I do. After we lost the baby, you
were so distraught I agreed again to hold off
telling everyone until things calmed down.”
    “They never did,” she said.
Brandon snickered. “No, they didn’t, and
for some reason your father thought it
necessary that you stay and try to help with the
    legal aspects of his business.”
“My father needed me,” she murmured.
“And I didn’t?” he questioned. “And since
then, your father has done everything in his
power to keep you under his wing. Do you
realize that in two years I’ve lost a baby and the
comfort of my wife, and my family doesn’t even
    know that I’ve had either?
“Look, I know why you didn’t want to tell
your family when we first started seeing each
other. We weren’t sure how they’d feel about
our relationship given my history with women.
Considering that Chad and I have been friends
for a while, he’s been privy to most of my
escapades. But that can’t be it, because Chad
and I have a wonderful relationship and for the

past year he and my father are practically
joined at the hip. I’ve been so messed up that I
only started noticing when Chad showed up
with my father in New York. Surprise, surprise
I had to learn from Domino that my wife was in
New York as well. Then, lo and behold, Daddy
steps in again to call you back for an emergency
that could have been handled by one his
managers. I don’t understand it Dominique.
I’m beginning to think that your dad knows
    about us.”
    “With Daddy—it’s complicated.”
    “I know.
