got to the office?”
“Ian stop it,” she mouthed and smacked him on the rump when he started to
suckle her nipple.
“Can’t help it. I’m starving baby.”
Peter’s voice brought Alex back to the call at hand.
“Okay Alex, I can hear that asshole is there with you and that's your
business I know. But the least you could do is call and let the rest of us who
love and worry about you know you’re still alive if you’re going to be late.”
“Late? What are you talking about Peter it’s...,” she glanced at her
alarm clock to see that it was 10:00 a.m.! My god, she had overslept...not
surprisingly.
“Peter I am so sorry. I didn’t realize what time it was. My alarm didn’t
go off for some reason this morning.”
“Sure doll. If that’s the excuse you want to give okay. But can we expect
Mr. Foster to let you come in at all today?”
The annoyance and jealousy in Peter’s voice didn’t escape Alex’s notice.
“Listen Peter. I’m sorry and I’ll be there within the hour but I would
appreciate you keeping your snide comments and thoughts to yourself. My
personal life is none of your business just as yours is none of mine.”
Alex hung up the phone and Ian could feel how her body had tensed up
under his touch because of Peter’s call.
“Alex. Come on now. Don’t let little Mister Busybody spoil our morning.”
“I’d like to know why my alarm didn’t go off. I specifically remember
setting it before I jumped into the tub last night.”
She lifted the alarm to examine it and Ian took it from her and placed it
back on the nightstand.
“Alex, you’re not going to be very happy with me but I shut it off. I
called and checked your schedule with your secretary yesterday so I knew you
had no appointments or court hearings set for today sooooo,” he sighed, “I’m
the reason your alarm didn’t go off.”
“Ian, why would you think it would be okay for you to do something like
that? Damn it now you’ve gotten me in hot water with Peter who is already
extremely jealous of my relationship with you and...,” she stopped when she saw
the wicked grin spread across his face.
“Why you dirty rascal. That’s exactly why you did this isn’t it? You
wanted to make Peter jealous?” Ian laughed but didn’t deny her accusation.
“Yes, Alex I wanted to make Peter jealous. I wanted him to wonder what we
did all night and all morning. I can see him stewing all morning trying to
decide whether or not to call you. It must have driven him mad!”
“You are an evil person Ian Foster. Just evil!” She laughed at the incredibly
gorgeous grin Ian had on his face but she truly felt horrible for Peter.
“Hey, you’ve told me time and time again how you’ve tried to discourage
Pete yet he keeps panting after you like a little puppy dog. I thought I’d help
you out a little. If you’d like I’ll have a little talk with Mr. Grainger and
set him straight and tell him to quit sniffing at your skirts.”
“Ian stop it! Peter is really none of your business. I’ll handle him. He
is a dear friend, my best friend actually and I don’t like him being played
with like this. I’ve always been completely honest with him about my feelings
and even though he hasn’t given up on me I don’t like you rubbing our
relationship in his face. ”
“Okay fine. But like I said, let’s not let him ruin our morning. Okay?”
He took his fingers and twined them through her hair with his left hand
and held her head as he slowly lowered her head back so he could nuzzle her
throat. With a feathery touch his lips caressed the hollow of her throat and
she could feel his heart racing as she touched her hands to his muscular chest.
“Last night Alex you begged me not to stop. Then you begged me to stop.
Which is it now Alex? Do you want me to stop or do you want me to fill you up
and make you come again?”
“Oh, Ian. Please don’t ever listen to me when I tell you to stop. Don’t
ever listen to
