the orange juice but I was afraid of what he might have put in it. Fuck it, I thought. Maybe I was better off drugged anyway. I had no idea what he was going to do with me. I sipped at the orange juice and felt immediately better. After a few minutes I still felt fine so I gulped the rest of it down. David watched me as I ate. Once I finished he took the tray away. He clapped his hands together. "So I was thinking," he started. "How would you like a shower?" I nodded. "Great! I bought you some things this morning. I wasn't sure exactly what you liked."
"This morning? What time is it?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. Around noon."
Noon? The drugs he gave me last night must have been stronger that I realized. He helped me up and guided me to the bathroom that was attached to the bedroom. The bathroom was small but tidy. I saw with a sinking feeling that there was no window.
"There's soap and shampoo in the shower. I bought you a few essentials. Make a list of what you want and I'll pick them up." He closed the door behind me. Resigned, I started the water. I briefly considered refusing to shower so he didn't want to touch me, but decided against it. It was easier to play along with his sick game until I found an escape. While I showered, I thought about my parents. There was no doubt that by now they had realized that I was missing. I remembered how I had hysterically run out of Marcus's house last night after finding Carly and Alex in bed together. My heart sank as I realized that everyone would probably assume that I had run away or was hiding out somewhere. A loud knock jolted me out of my thoughts.
"Are you ok in there?" David yelled.
"Fuck you," I muttered under my breath. "I'm fine! Almost done!" I shouted back. I quickly finished up and wrapped myself in the towel that he had left for me. I looked around and realized that I had no clothes.
I stalked of the bathroom. David was sitting on the bed. "Where are my clothes?" I demanded. He pointed to the dresser. "In there." I opened the dresser and burst out laughing. "You're kidding, right? I am not wearing that." The drawer was filled with the trashiest, skimpiest "outfits" that I had ever seen. I pulled out a black lacy thing meant to be an entire outfit that was less material than the underwear that I normally wore. I opened the other drawers. There were no clothes at all. Only lingerie. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "David," I said calmly, "Where are my clothes from last night?"
    "I threw them out."
"Why did you do that?" My eyes filled with tears.
"Because they were ruined. You fell in a drunken stupor, remember? These are better anyway."
"But they're not clothes. I'm just supposed to hang out in underwear all day?"
David stood up suddenly and stomped over to me. I backed away into the dresser. He grabbed my towel and yanked it off me. "David!" I screamed, immediately grabbing handfuls of skimpy underwear from the drawer and trying to cover myself with them. He cornered me and I looked down, too ashamed to meet his gaze. "It's this or nothing. Your choice." He smirked at me and stormed out of the room, locking the deadbolt behind him. I sank to the floor and cried.

Once I pulled myself together, I put on one of the outfits. Better this than naked. This one was white, a loose feather trimmed sheer top with a slit going up the front that rendered it pretty useless. It had a matching white thong. All of the bras he had gotten me were at least a full size too small. My breasts popped out of the top. I searched through the other underwear, but they were also all thongs. Great. Once I dressed, I started looking for a way out while David wasn't watching me. All that was in here besides the bed was the dresser full of lingerie and an empty night stand. I went to the window and pulled at the bars. Nothing. Even if I could somehow break the glass to scream for help, I doubted anyone would hear me. David lived on a dead and street and
