    “Not really,” she said, stroking his forearm. “And I
was thinking I might re-schedule my flight and stay up here for the
week. Do some job hunting in Denver.
     
    “Rachel, that would be great.” He moved a lazy hand
across her shoulder, his fingers warm against her skin. “I could
show you around the city. We could find out if we’re...if
there’s....”
     
    “If there’s more than just great sex between us?”
     
    “Yes,” he said. “I feel a real connection with you,
Rachel. I think there’s something substantial here. I think we’ve
both been unlucky in love. But it’s never too late to make a fresh
start.”
     
    Grinning broadly, she pulled him closer and planted a
long, passionate kiss on his lips. “You’ve been reading my mind,
David Ramsey. The future is full of possibilities, and lets see if
we can carve out a future together. But first let’s get some
breakfast, I’m starving!”
