are becoming faint. A single tear escapes my eye as I mourn for not only my child, but myself because not only was I killing an innocent fetus, I was committing suicide as well.

Chapter Four
She wanted to scream as she looked at the image before her. The monster in frontof her couldn‟t be real. As she stared into the mirror she was horrified at her reflection. She had prayed for her eyesight and now she wished that she had remained in darkness.
Her eyes were slits underneath flesh that was discolored. Her right eye was blood shot red, she was sure a vessel had burst. Lips that used to form a perfect pout now looked like she had gone twelve rounds with Mike Tyson. Her entire body was covered in bruises. There wasn‟t a part of her that wasn‟t black, blue, purple, or green.
The worst part was from her waist down. Her pussy was three times its normal size and she could now see that when she thought she had peed on herself earlier it was actually blood. She was bleeding; not only from her vagina, but from her anus to.
“What the fuck happened to me?”
Her voice was hoarse as words escaped her lips. She began to shake uncontrollably as she stared at the blood that covered her hands.
The power went out again and for a moment she saw him; he was punching her in the face, telling her that she wanted him, that he loved her and that she should shut up and take it.
She remembered fading in and out of consciousness. Blowing kisses at death, reaching out to touch it, unable to die because he would find a way to bring her back, back to him, to this room.
She remembered trying to fight him off but the coke had her in another mind state, it had crippled her senses, blurred her ability to distinguish between fantasy and reality and as much as she wished she was dreaming, as much as she wanted to believe this wasn‟t real; the ugly truth was staring her right in the face.
Someone was entering the room. Straining her ears she listened for footsteps. Her heart felt like it was in her throat. The bathroom door creaked open as she managed to hide behind the shower curtain just in time. She held her breath praying that he wouldn‟t hear her. She knew if he found her, he would definitely kill her. A big part of her wished he had finished the job the first time around. Why not put her out of her misery instead of leaving her half dead to wallow in it? What else did she have to go through before God would allow her the sweet comfort of death?
Before she could question her fate any further her answers were revealed as the stranger spoke.
“H ello?” Tip toeing, Danielle looked around.“ What the hell happened in here ?”
The sheets were no longer white; but a dark crimson. Clothes were thrown across the floor, and the table and chairs were turned upside down. There was blood spattered across the head board, and on the vodka bottle that sat on the nightstand.
The storm began to resonate startling her as lightening shot through the sky. She walked towards the bathroom cautious not to make too much noise as she searched the rest of the room.
“Is anyone in here?” Danielle wasn‟t sure what she expected to find but she wasn‟t ready for what emerged. She looked on in terror as a female‟s hand pushed the shower curtain back.
“Ho dios mio.”
Danielle caught the girl just as she was collapsing. She couldn‟t be any older than herself. What happened to her? Who would do this to another human being? She shuddered as the image of the man in the hallway flashed back into her mind. It was obvious that it was her blood that stained his t-shirt.
“Please…please help me.”
Tears flooded her eyes as she thought about the pain she must‟ve endured, all the horrible things she went through as he assaulted her. How long had she been here?
There were bite marks on her fingers, her cheeks; some of her hair had been pulled out. Her ribs were discolored and her abdomen was swollen, signs that she could possibly be bleeding internally.
