enough
to push her over the edge. As their bodies slammed together, Nixie gave a
hoarse cry as another orgasm raced through her body.
Her holler and the feel of her body
clenching around him was enough to do him in. With one last, hard thrust, he
emptied himself inside of her.

Nixie felt Nick stiffen behind her
and a moment later, he was finished. She reveled in the sensation, taking deep,
ragged breaths.
    He stayed there, holding her
tightly against him for a minute before collapsing to the bed and pulling her
down with him, where they both lay gasping and exhausted.
    Nixie was unbelievably sleepy after
the energy used to reach her third orgasm. Her mind boggled at that thought. A
third orgasm. Wow.   A second orgasm was a
rare and treasured thing. Three was unheard of.
“That was the best sex I’ve ever
had,” Nick said softly in her ear.
    “Nothing else even compared,” she
agreed. “That was in a different league of sex. That was…”
    “Perfect.” He finished her sentence
for her.
Nixie nodded. As she nodded, she
ran her cheek along his chest. “Uh-huh,” she mumbled contently.
Nick stroked a hand up and down her
arm, tickling her skin.
    She couldn’t believe she was
here…in Nicholas Morgan’s bed…tingling from multiple orgasms. It was all so
unreal. And being with him just felt so right. A girl could get used to this
kind of treatment.
    His fingertips trailed along her
throat in a gentle pattern, brushing against the gold locket. “Nix,” he asked
in concern. “Are you in some kind of trouble?”
Nixie was so distracted by the cute
nickname it took her a moment to hear his question. “What?” she asked in
confusion.
“Do you need money?” he asked,
fingering the locket.
Nixie felt her heart sink to her
toes. Surely, he couldn’t think... She felt tears spring to her eyes. He’d
slept with her. He’d had his orgasm and now he was asking about money like she
was some desperate thief who just happened to get her jollies on the side. She
bolted upright, staring angrily down at him though her vision was blurry with
tears. “Nick, I didn’t steal from you.”
His expression turned to one of
horror at seeing her tears. “Hey, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to insult you.” He
fumbled over his words after this statement. That meant he didn’t believe her,
but he felt bad about hurting her feelings. He still believed she’d come here
to rob him. Plain and simple.
She thought about bolting, but Nick
grabbed ahold of her arm as if he could sense it. “Please don’t go.” His voice
was pleading. “I’m begging you,” he said, sounding desperate. “Don’t leave.”
Nixie hesitated, unsure of what to
do. Sure, he’d hurt her feelings, but she really, really wanted to stay. She
wanted to curl up next to him and forget all about anything else. But…
Nick leaned forward and kissed her
tenderly, making her forget all about any objections. “Say you’ll stay.”
    “All right.” She grumbled even
though she was silently thrilled. “I’ll stay.”
“Good.” He kissed her again then
pulled her down to lie next to him.
Nixie lay against him, listening to
the beat of his heart. She felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. She liked
Nick. She liked him a lot. Her brain kept telling her this had zero chance of
going anywhere, but her heart was going crazy at the way his hand was stroking
her back. Internally, she groaned. Shit. Shit. Shit. She could not be having
feelings for him just because he was being gentle with her and begging her to
stay. Her reaction to his smiles was evidence enough. Shit. She was so about to
get her heart trampled on.

    Nick was silently cursing his
stupidity. What was wrong with him? He was having seriously strong feelings for
the girl who just tried to rob him. How demented was that? He couldn’t help it,
though. She was adorable. And her scent… His thoughts trailed off as he leaned
closer. Sliding his arm around her waist, he buried his
