that I was going to be fucking hurting over this shit. Fuck it! Fuck her âcause she completely fucked me!â
Katrina threw her hand over her dresser knocking all her bottles and belongings on the floor. The action caused Devon and Teri to jump.
âWhoa, dude, chill out. Yeah, what she did was fucked up but thereâs no reason to fuck up your stuff because of what she did.â Teri jumped up and started picking the expensive bottles of cologne and things off of the floor.
Katrina fell back on her bed. Her head was spinning again. She buried her face into her hands. She didnât want her friends to see her cry, but she couldnât help it. âI fucking loved her. I gave her my all. I didnât deserve this shit!â
Devon sat next to Katrina. She put her arm around her hurting friend. âKatrina, I know itâs hard to understand but I think that Saura did what she thought was going to be best. You know you werenât going to make it easy for her to go. And I think she thought this might be the best way for both of you.â
Katrina didnât want to think rationally. She was in too much pain. âShe was my world,â Katrina muttered. âMy all. I have nothing anymore.â
âUgh.â Teri let out a moan that caused both women to look at her. âLook Iâm sorry but I canât sit here and listen to this bullshit. Katrina, yes, you are hurting, yes, the woman you loved might have left. But you arenât going to sit here and act like she was all you have. Dude, Saura did what she felt was best, for both of you. Maybe she was wrong for her actions, but in the end you and I both know you werenât going to let her leave. May be you need to take a page from Sauraâs handbook and start focusing on yourself for a change. Itâs been a week; you still have on the same fucking clothes you had on when we went biking.â
Katrina looked down at her athletic attire. She hadnât changed. The only things she had done for a week were go to the bathroom, eat, and drink.
âThis isnât the end of the world, Tree,â Devon added. âI know it might seem like it but think about it like this. This wasnât a bad breakup. She didnât cheat on you or something. This might not be the end. Maybe you both need this time apart to see if it is really what you want.â
âAll I want is Saura.â Katrina sighed.
âWell what better way to get over this than going on your trip to Europe?â Devon smiled.
âYeah, do you know how many fine-ass girls there are in Europe? Oh and think of the accents.â
âHave your Eat, Pray, Love moment,â Devon joked.
Katrina thought about what her friends were saying. If she had to get over her girl at least she wouldnât have to be in her house with all the memories haunting her every day. Katrina took a deep breath; she exhaled the negativity she had been harboring for Saura. She knew deep down that Saura only did what she did to protect them both. Although flawed, she knew she would have to get over her anger at some point; she just didnât know when that day would be.
Katrina walked her friends out. They were only willing to leave after they felt she was cheered up enough. She walked back in her empty house. She wondered would it ever feel like home again. Katrina noticed that one of the photos on the wall was missing. Obviously Saura had taken her favorite photo of them.
The house phone startled Katrina as it started to ring. The phone never rang and they only kept it because they had bad cell service in certain parts of the house. Katrina looked at the caller ID; it was an unknown number. Katrinaâs heart started to race. She picked up the phone and pressed talk.
âKatrina.â
The voice sent chills down her spine. âSaura.â Katrina fought to hold back all emotion.
âIâm sorry, Katrina. I know you are mad at me.â
âSaura, why?
