    He reached out and took my hand. “I’d like that.” I stepped
toward him and my arms went up around his neck. His head lowered and he kissed
me hard.
    I pulled back for a second. “What’s your name? Your real
name.”
    “Dan,” he said. “But you can call me Danny.”
    “I’d like that,” I said.
    Then I kissed him quick before I vanished.

    Juliet Cardin began her writing career at an early age,
creating her first stories as soon as she could hold a pencil. Juliet began
writing novels while a stay-at-home mom, raising her two sons, for eight years.
When her youngest son began grade one, Juliet returned to work, spending six
years working in a library, which reinforced her love of books. Her first short
story was sold in November 2009, followed by several contest wins and more
contracts. Juliet lives in Ontario with her husband, two teen-aged sons and
three cats.
