loving the feel of her bare folds gliding together when she walked.
And then she’d made a beeline straight to her bedroom door, locking herself inside before she stupidly followed the orders they’d dictated to her any further.
She pressed her fingers to her lips, closing her eyes as she remembered Diek’s kiss, and a single tear trickled down her cheek. She loved him, loved all three of them with every fiber of her being. She’d dated other men, slept with other men, and knew the whole time that no one would ever satisfy her if he didn’t possess the Rylon last name.
Still, she fought tooth and nail not to let them know the power they had over her. They knew anyway, of course. Her battle had been in not admitting it aloud, not giving them an ounce of space to get near her, not giving them a chance to truly claim her. Following her heart would be suicide. She prided herself on the reputation she’d built as a hard-headed, spitfire cowgirl making it in a man’s world. If word got out that she’d finally allowed the Rylon brothers under her skin and into her bed, she’d be seen as a whore. She would lose the respect from the men on neighboring ranches, respect she counted on and called upon when the need arose. No amount of love or pleasure was worth putting the Circle M in jeopardy. More, no amount of love or pleasure was worth giving up her position as the head of the Circle M.
She felt the heat of a body behind her a nanosecond before a hand came around to cover her mouth. She gasped, her eyes flying open, but the hand prevented her from turning her head.
“You’re supposed to be out there.” Gunner’s baritone drawl sent goose pimples racing along the surface of her flesh. “Your days of watching from this window are over.”
His hand slowly dropped from her mouth, settling loosely on the base of her throat. His body pressed hard against her back, his cock thick and persistent against her lower spine.
“How did you get in here?”
“Did you really think a little pettily locked door would keep us out?” Diek asked, moving in on her right. He turned, leaned his back against the window frame, and folded his arms across his broad chest. He didn’t look mad. The hard set to his jaw and the dark swirl in his eyes displayed more determination than anger.
“I’m figuring she did it to keep herself in.” Lucky appeared on her other side, leaning over slightly to put himself within her view. His gaze slid from her face down her front, obviously taking in the way she was dressed, the fact that she’d followed that order to a tee. “I doubt if you were even thinking of us coming to find you.”
She hadn’t been. Hindsight being what it was, she realized she should’ve known they would. “Aren’t you supposed to be at the meeting?” She’d thought she would be safe for the night, seeing as they were supposed to be preoccupied with the Service Club, even if she didn’t show as they had ordered her to.
“Not without you tonight,” Diek said.
“What are you going to do, hog-tie me and drag me down there?”
Gunner’s hand slid from her throat to her right arm and continued down, while the fingers of his other hand closed around her left wrist. He pinned her arms to her sides. “Tie you up, yes. Drag you down there, no.”
“We figured we’d take care of you in here tonight.” Lucky flattened a hand on her belly and gave her a gentle push backward. Gunner shuffled back, too, as Lucky made room for himself between her and the window. “I knew this top would look amazing on you.” The tip of his finger traced the V of the neckline down between her breasts, leaving a trail of sizzling desire in its wake. Then he moved both hands to her shoulders, hooking his fingers beneath the straps and slowly guiding them down. “Now I want to see you without it.”
Mustang shook her head, but she knew she was powerless to stop him. She started to tremble from as much fear as resignation. They
