I asked.
He was just about to answer when we heard voices outside the door, followed by a knock. I could make out our parents’ voices.
“Oh shit,” I said, looking at him. “We’re busted.” I looked around quickly for a place to hide and finding nowhere suitable, I quickly climbed underneath the sheets.
Nick didn’t move. I guess he was also in shock.
Suddenly the door opened. We had not accounted for the fact that Todd and Alyssa had spare keys to the cabin and had come looking for one of us. I froze. Now we were certainly screwed.

CHAPTER 7

I braced myself for the worst. This was bad. As soon as the door fully opened, Nick pulled the sheets off him, revealing his nakedness to whoever was at the door. I wondered if they could see my juices still wet his penis.
“Oh, shit. Sorry, Nick,” I heard my dad say as the door quickly closed.
Nick burst into laughter and pulled the sheets off my face.
“What just happened?” I was confused.
“I figured most parents don’t want to see the kids naked, so I played on that. It sent them scurrying away.”
“You are crazy,” I said, hitting his chest playfully. I continued putting my clothes back on.
“Well, did you have a better suggestion? Our asses would have been fried now if I hadn’t done that.”
He was right. His quick thinking had embarrassed my dad, but he’d saved the day. “But why was he coming to your room?”
“My mom has the key. She got dressed for the wedding in here so your dad didn’t see her. I guess she must have been looking for something.”
Maybe they were looking for me. The thought crossed my mind and I quickly made for the door.
“Where are you going?” Nick asked, still sprawled on the bed.
“Someone’s probably going to be looking for me sooner or later, and we don’t want to raise any red flags.” I walked to the door and blew a kiss at him. “See you.”
As I approached the breakfast area, my heart pumped with guilt and fear. I dreaded seeing my dad and Alyssa. I was sure my dad hadn’t seen me in Nick’s room, but what if? What if he had made out my silhouette underneath the sheets? What if he put the pieces together – I wasn’t in my room, I was nowhere to be found, and there was a silhouette of a woman underneath the sheets in Nicks’ room. I hoped that if he had made out a silhouette in bed, he’d assume Nick had hooked up with a woman he’d met on the cruise.
Dad, Alyssa, and Todd were seated in a nice corner of the restaurant, eating. I walked up to them and sat in one of the empty seats.
“Good morning.” I avoided looking at anyone’s face.
    “Hi, Jena,” Todd said cheerfully.
“Hi,” I responded, looking at Dad and Alyssa’s faces.
    “Hi, darling,” Dad said.
“Jena, hope you slept well. Thanks for all your help yesterday.” Alyssa turned toward me and smiled. She still looked radiant.
Everyone seemed oblivious of what was going on between Nick and me. No one suspected our pool fun yesterday, and it seemed like no one was any wiser of my whereabouts this morning.
“Yes, thanks Jena, for helping make things go smoothly,” Dad said
“My pleasure, Mr. and Mrs. Colt.” I felt a sense of guilt wash through me. I hadn’t done much to help yesterday, and in fact, had been selfishly satisfying my urges when I was supposed to have been helping coordinate the wedding.
“Mrs. Colt. I like that,” Dad said, as he turned to share a kiss with Alyssa.
They made me sick, these two love birds.
“Eww,” Todd said, covering his face as our parents kissed. “You guys are not gonna be doing this all the time, right?” he asked in all seriousness.
Just then, Nick appeared from behind me.
“Do what?” he asked sitting on a chair next to me.
His musky scent sent a tingle down my body. Was I always going to be this crazy for him? I couldn’t imagine spending all summer with him and feeling like I wanted to jump him every time our paths crossed.
    “Kiss,” Todd said.
