territory for me.” He brushed her hair back over
her shoulder and ran his fingers down her neck. “I’m not sure what I’m doing
with you.”
“Why don’t you just do what feels right?”
“I want to kiss you.” The warmth of his breath fluttered
across her lips. “That seems right to me.”
“Then do it.” Her bottom lip trembled in anticipation. “I
want you to kiss me, Marcus.”
He closed his eyes in thought for a moment.
She knew he struggled with their relationship. His proper
gestures and maintained composure came from years of experience. He’d never
gotten this close to a student before. But she hoped she was more than a
student to him and that was why he resisted. That belief was the only thing
that kept her hoping for more. “I’m graduating in two weeks,” she reminded him.
“I haven’t been in one of your courses in over a year. You’re not doing
anything wrong.”
“You continue to surprise me.” He opened his eyes, tilted
her chin and brushed his lips across her mouth. “You know me so well.”
“You’re a complicated man, but I’m learning.”
She sighed against his mouth as he touched his tongue
against her lips eagerly seeking entrance. The kiss wasn’t as careful as she’d
always imagined it. Tangling his fingers in her hair, he pulled her closer
until the hard muscles of his chest pressed against her. He nipped at her
bottom lip before attacking her mouth again. She liked the rough flavor of his
approach. He’d always been so reserved with her.
Seeing him lose himself because of her excited her. She ran
her fingers through his hair as his hands trailed down the sides of her body to
encircle her waist. Once he’d pulled her into his embrace, he leaned back and
smiled.
“That was the best first kiss I’ve ever had.” She ran her
hand down his cheek and over his jaw indulging in the way his manly stubble
felt against her fingertips. Her knees wobbled and her head felt light.
“Thank you.” He kissed the tip of her nose. “Tomorrow then?”
“Absolutely.”
“Good.” He let go of her and backed away. “I think I need to
go now.”
“Okay.” She smiled because she could see the reluctance in
his eyes. “If you’re sure.”
“I’m not sure of anything anymore, darling.”
She watched as he turned and headed to his car. He had a
spring in his step that she’d never seen. As he opened the car door, he looked
up at her and winked. His boyish charm took her by surprise, making her stomach
flutter and her heart rate increase.
“Goodnight, Professor.” She waved as he got into his car.

She emerged from the huge en suite refreshed and feeling
especially sexy. She’d slipped on her sheer purple panties under her lavender
baby doll sundress. She walked slowly across the room because she didn’t want
to wipe out in her new silver stilettos.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
She looked up to find Marcus leaning against the archway
that divided the two rooms. He’d donned a light gray suit that accentuated his
eyes. He’d left the crisp white dress shirt undone at the neck so that just a
triangle of his olive skinned chest peeked out.
“You didn’t answer my question.” He crossed his arms and
waited for her to speak.
“Huh?” She’d been too mesmerized by his appearance to answer
his question. Now that she thought about it, his tone had been stern and
serious. He’d slipped into his professor persona and that made her tingle in
all the right places. “How can I be expected to concentrate on anything other
than you when you look like that?”
He walked toward her. “You’re a vision this evening.” His
gaze traveled down her body, lingering at her breasts before crawling back up
to meet her eyes.
“I could say the same thing about you, Professor.”
“I’m not sure if I’ve told you this before.” He leaned into
her ear and whispered, “I like it when you call me that. It triggers all sorts
of naughty fantasies.”
