His Truth Your Nightmare
smiled on the inside because I had a feeling
that these fools thought that they may have had an easy lick.
Little did they know was Dark was idling inside just waiting for a
chance to appear. I nodded my head to them in recognition as I
turned my back on them and unlocked the door. I knew they were
coming. I could feel it plus I could see the three walk up through
the glass. I turned around to face them with blood red eyes. There
was no need to grab my four five off of my hip because I knew they
were scared. I can see it in their eyes. I wonder do they know the
devil when they see him. Obviously not!
“What’s up, you youngsters look like y’all
want some trouble,” I said.
The ring leader stepped up and said, “Nah, we
don’t want no trouble but we do want your car so if trouble come
with it then it is what it is.”
My eyes turned a dark black and I could feel
myself leaving. A few moments later I started laughing
uncontrollably and said, “You fuck boys have ten seconds to save
your lives so don’t let it go to waste.”
The ring leader said, “I’m ready to die.”
With that Dark appeared. I grabbed the young
dude by his throat crushing his windpipe and kicked the youngster
to my right in the knee. The youngster to my left wasted no time to
pull the gun from his waist and point it at me. Right when I got
ready to move towards him I saw him drop to the ground. I stood
over him then kicked him in the chest. His body rolled over to the
side and that’s when I noticed that he had a knife sticking out of
his head.
“What the hell?” I said. I looked around and
noticed that no one was out so I rushed back in the store with guns
drawn and pointed straight at the cashier.
“Where is the tape?” I said.
The cashier raised his hands to shield his
face and asked, “What tape are you talking about sir?”
“The surveillance tape. If you give me the
tape I will let you live.” I said.
“The tape is in the back. Please don’t shoot
me!” he said.
“Lead me there and you will live but if you
bullshit me then you die tonight,” I said.
The cashier slowly came from behind the
register and led me to the back. The hall was dim and dusty and
looked like it had not been cleaned in years. He stopped at a door
to the right and there were several monitors that surveyed each
part of the store. I had the cashier hand me all the tapes and told
him to walk slowly towards the front. I wasn’t playing any games
with him and he knew it. When the cashier got near the entrance I
let one off in the back of his head. No witnesses!

Chapter 3
Roe
That’s exactly what that nigga Bray deserved.
I knew I never liked that nigga from the moment I first saw him. It
was something in his eyes that told me he was nothing but trouble.
I told Legend to watch him after he gave me the lock. His body
language changed right after his position was switched. I knew it
would only be a moment before he finally tried something. I wanted
to kill that nigga immediately after Legend stepped to me about
what he said.
When Legend approached me it wasn’t to accuse
or question me. It was to tell me to watch my back. Legend is like
my big brother and has always treated me with loyalty and respect.
There is no way that I would ever betray him. My mom left me for
dead in a dumpster when I was born. Legend’s uncle Biggs found me
and raised me as if I was his own. He didn’t ask for a thing from
my mom or anyone else. I am his son and no one or nothing can come
between that.
When I turned sixteen Biggs sat me down and
spoke with me man to man about how he found me. He said he knew who
my parents were because he used to sell heroin to them back in the
gap. When he found out my mom was pregnant he stopped selling to
her and threatened to kill the dope boys in the neighborhood so
they wouldn’t sell to her either. The day after she had me she went
to Biggs trap to buy drugs and that’s when he knew that I was the
baby that she had carried.
