High Voltage
and more
importantly, he knew Heath wanted him.
    “W-what are you doing, Volt?”
“Weren’t you the one calling my
name in your sleep?” Volt watched Heath’s face heat up. He could see denial was
on the tip of Heath’s lips, but it died the instant he closed his mouth over
Heath’s tender flesh. He sucked at the slightly salty skin, enjoying the taste
of his apprentice. Heath let out a sigh, but Volt found a hand pressed firmly
against his chest seconds later.
Volt raised his head, frowning at
Heath.
    “Don’t. I don’t know what game
you’re playing, but stop,” Heath whispered. He let out a startled sound when
Volt’s arm curved around his waist and pressed closer to him.
“I’m tired of games, Heath. Tired
of pretending I don’t want you, but I don’t take unwilling lovers,” Volt said
against his ear.
He flicked at Heath’s earlobe with
his tongue, feeling Heath’s harsh breathing against him. “Tell me you don’t
want me, and I’ll stop.”
“I don’t want you,” Heath muttered.
“You’re lying. I can always tell
when you’re lying.” Volt bit down on Heath’s earlobe, wrangling a needy sound out of him. “I can feel your eager cock pressed against me,
Heath. I can feel your quivering little body sighing against mine.”
His own cock perked up in his
trousers, and heat began to fill his belly, eager to spread to the rest of him.
Heath clutched at him tighter, not pushing him. It was a good sign. Heath’s minimal
resistance made his claiming all the sweeter. Volt knew deep down, Heath would
never openly admit he’d already given his sweet self to his master.
“Tell me, Heath. Why are you
fighting me so hard?” Volt asked, nipping his way down Heath’s neck, liking
every shiver and sound coming from him.
    “I don’t…” Heath faltered. “Gods,
Volt, I’m terrified.”
Volt stopped to look him in the
eye. “I’m never going to hurt you, Heath. Never. Get
that into your fucking head.”
“But you will. This isn’t a
one-time fling to me, Volt. When you’re done with me, you’re going to leave me
hurting.” Heath sagged against him. “All those men and women in your
apartment…they never come back. I know, because I clean your mess up all the
time.
Guilt wedged its way into Volt
again, but he intended to make things right, to make Heath understand. Once
Felor was dealt with, Volt swore he’d make up for lost time. It was time to
stop being terrified and mend the hole in his heart. If Volt was too terrified
to let go of his past, he knew he was going to regret it. He’d nearly lost
Heath tonight. He intended to never let go of him again.
“Those people mean nothing to me,
Heath,” Volt growled, reining in his temper. “You’re not a one-time fling. I
intend to make you mine and I’m one possessive bastard.”
Distrustful eyes looked back at him,
impossibly green and terrifyingly innocent. “You expect me to trust you like
it’s the easiest thing in the world.”
“I don’t expect you to do anything
hard right now, Heath. Give me a chance. All I’m asking you to do now is to
give in to this. To us.”
Volt ran his hands around the
slender planes of Heath’s body, marveling at how soft his skin was. How many
times had Volt imagined doing this?
    Heath’s fist tightened on his
clothes. “Okay. Okay.”
    “Good, because I
intend to make your heart and body mine by the end of this night.” There
was an insistent tug on his clothes again.
“Please, Volt. I want to see you
undressed.”
“Undress me, little tabby.” Volt enjoyed
the sight of Heath’s concentrated face as his fingers helped him out of his
suit, linen shirt, belt, and trousers.
The apparent lust and desire in
Heath’s green eyes made him harder, made him ache. Volt had to bite his desire
down. Going hard and fast wasn’t his intention. He had to take it slow, ease
Heath in. Volt calmly went back to his chair, and beckoned Heath to him.
    “Come here, Heath.”
    Heath went to
