the glowing computer screen. “I sort of thought you’d get caught up in work. You figure out who to interview yet?”
Oh, the smell of the spring rolls was heavenly. Following her nose to the kitchen, Rachel took out the plates and flatware while Jeremy tore open the bags and pulled out the foil plates and red and white cardboard boxes. She brushed against him as she reached into the fridge for drinks, and Jeremy blushed, directing his eyes away from her. “We didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable,” she murmured, blushing herself when he glanced up at her with heated eyes.
He didn’t answer, carrying the food over to the table instead. She looked up when Nathan walked into the kitchen and slapped Jeremy on the back companionably. “Rachel owns Vaughan Events. She’s got three employees working for her and is about to hire a fourth.” She couldn’t help the smile that stretched her lips. She loved that Nathan was as proud of her as she was of him.
Rachel stood on her toes, wrapped her arms around Nathan’s neck, and pulled him down for a kiss. “Well, I would hire a fourth employee if I could get my computer up and running. Damn thing crashed again. I guess it’s time for me to get another one. I just wish I could recover those six months I lost a while ago.”
Jeremy paused in the act of spooning chicken fried rice onto his plate and looked up at her. “I’m pretty good with computers. Do you want me to take a look at it?”
Hope welled up inside her gut. Those lost files had been eating at her for weeks now. If there was any chance Jeremy could retrieve them for her, she would be forever grateful. “Would you, really?”
Jeremy swallowed his mouthful of rice and nodded, shaking the shaggy hair out of his eyes. He was gorgeous. He was the total opposite of Nathan but equally as good looking. Those smoky green eyes pulled her in, inviting her to curl up and get lost in them, in him . He was the ultimate boy next door, the one that every girl wanted to take home to mom and dad. She was so intent on his beautiful eyes that she was startled when he spoke again. “I can look at it after supper, if you want.”
She blinked once, trying to pull herself back to the conversation. Right, her computer. “If you don’t mind, I’d really appreciate it.”
“No problem.” Jeremy lapsed into silence as he dug into his food again, avoiding eye contact with both her and Nathan.
Rachel sat down next to Nathan and helped herself to a spring roll, biting through the crispy shell and into the filling. She couldn’t help the little moan of pleasure that slipped from her mouth as she licked her lips clean. A choking sound drew her attention, and she looked over at Jeremy, whose fork was suspended halfway to his mouth, his eyes wide and lips slightly parted.
“Yeah,” Nathan said as he smirked beside her, “you should see her eat a Popsicle. It’s like watching her give a blowjob.”
Rachel grinned, feeling wicked, and ran her tongue deliberately around her mouth again, moistening her lips liberally. “Feels like I’m giving one, too.”
The food fell off Jeremy’s fork with a plop as his eyes widened even more. Giggling, Rachel seized the box of chicken balls and dumped a few on her plate, making sure to eat them as seductively as possible, which wasn’t easy.
The rest of the meal passed in an easy, flirtatious manner with Jeremy blushing over and over again at the overly seductive looks she tossed his way. She found him absolutely adorable, especially the way he mumbled a hasty excuse and rushed from the room to settle at her computer, an obvious erection tenting his sweats.
She was standing at the counter after supper, wrapping up the leftovers, when Nathan’s strong arms circled her waist from behind. “You little tease,” he whispered.
Shivering at the sensation of his warm breath caressing her ear, she tilted her head and exposed her neck for Nathan’s mouth. He obliged her, dropping damp,
