nervous.”
Boris touched her elbow and gently rubbed her forearm. Jennifer forced a polite smile. Boris was at least twice older than her, bold and not in shape. She knew he was trying to be nice but she couldn’t help feeling disgusted. Was he hitting on her? Was he expecting anything? She forced the disturbing thought out of her mind and suddenly felt worried: she had no idea what to expect. What if everybody looked like Boris tonight? Somehow, Jennifer had imagined that most of the participants would look more attractive but she now realized that it was out of her control.
In a way, it reassured her. If they were all ugly and didn’t make her feel horny, she would simply watch - or go home. No guilt. Things would be simple like that. At the same time though, she felt disappointed. That’s it? She secretly hoped that the night wouldn’t be a total disaster.
“Don’t be afraid,” Boris said. “Take it easy. After a few more drinks, you’ll feel better. Wait until everybody arrives and you’ll start to feel the heat.”
He sent her a wink and walked away. At least, he wasn’t trying to push his luck. She walked back to where Bruce was waiting and he caressed her shoulders. She shivered and he wrapped her with his muscular arms. They were standing around a big fire camp but it wasn’t enough for now. The temperature had significantly dropped and Jen needed more heat. Now.
After an hour or so, more people started to join the group on the beach. They all looked happy and excited. Jennifer felt slightly relieved: she could now see a few handsome men sitting around the fire with a can of beer of their hand. They weren’t naked yet; just bare chested, but it was enough to convince her that things could be very, very intense.
A gorgeous man suddenly caught her attention. He was shorter than Bruce but his shoulders were wider. His back was thick and his torso looked hard. He wasn’t built like a fitness model or anything like that. Jennifer didn’t know how to describe him but there was something raw in his demeanor, something dangerous and incredibly sexy. He looked at her and she felt struck by lightning. He was so hot. His eyes literally hypnotized her and she stared back at him with her mouth open.
God, he’s so sexy! she kept repeating in her mind. That’s so wrong. I can’t let him get close to me. I won’t be able to control myself. It’s too dangerous. He looks dangerous.
She couldn’t move her eyes off him, though. The corner of his lips rose up. Was he smiling? Or challenging her? Was it a sign of courtesy? Or pure lust?
Jen finally looked away and blushed. She knew her face looked like tomato right now. Oh crap! He was moving toward her now.
“Salut. Moi, c’est Bastien, ça va?” he said.
    “Sorry, I don’t speak French.”
“Aw, okay,” he said with an irresistible French accent. Jen wanted to bite him. “I said, hello, I’m Bastien. How are you doing?”
He extended his hand and she shook it. As soon as they touched, she felt goose-bumps throughout her entire body. His skin was soft as a baby but she could feel his strength and power by the way he squeezed her hand.
“I’m Jennifer,” she said, unable to pronounce anything else. She was hot now. Extremely hot and sweating.
Bruce came back with two plastic cups and nodded at the French man. Bastien’s expression suddenly darkened and he seemed destabilized. Nobody said anything for at least twenty seconds - the longest twenty seconds of Jen’s life. It was weird.
“Are you guys here to have fun tonight?” Bastien finally said.
“We don’t know yet,” Bruce replied. She could hear by his tone that he was defensive. Something was happening inside of him, Jennifer could feel it.
“Well, I hope you’ll make up your mind before dawn,” Bastien said with a grin. His gaze landed on Jennifer and she immediately looked away. This situation was becoming awkward.
“Yeah, we’ll send you an email,” Bruce said. He
