    Chapter Three
     
    After they ate the delicious meal prepared by Chef Antonio, they moved to the living room and started watching a Game of Thrones. Emily sat next to him, her head on his shoulder. He half paid attention to the television and reflected on their conversation.
    “Where’s Sean’s father?” He’d asked.
    She tensed up. “Who knows. He hasn’t been much of a father since a few months after finding out I was pregnant.”
    “I’m sorry.”
    Emily looked at him. “Don’t be. It’s not your fault he’s a jerk.”
    He felt bad for bringing up a sour subject. “How’d you decide on the adult industry?”
    A smile crossed her face along with a far off look. “When I graduated college I worked in administration. The pay was barely enough to cover my bills and daycare. One day I saw a sign for lingerie models. I tried it out. The pay was great and I had more time with my son. I knew I didn’t want to take my clothes of for men for long but I saw there was money to be made. My business side kicked in and there you have it.”
    It was his turn to smile. “You know you’re unlike most women here. They’re looking for a man to take care of them. I see your drive and I like it.”
    She blushed. “What about you Mr. Marine?”
    He poked out his chest. “I was born to be a Marine.” He laughed. “Seriously, I wanted to serve my country. I’m the second generation born here. America’s a great country and I wanted to give back. After six years I felt I did my duty but knew I didn’t want to work for anyone else. I had enough of following orders so I started my own business.”
    She nodded. “An all around All American. Empressive.”
    A fight scene brought him back to the here and now. He was an action man and the show had plenty of it. He leaned back on the couch and listened as Emily took a deep breath.
    Antonio watched as Emily closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep.
