sex, muscles screamed that she didn’t even know she had. She turned to look at the other side of her bed, but it was empty.
She laid back down and let her mind drift. Had Shawn left or was he somewhere in her house? She tried to recall if she’d heard him leave. However, she clearly remembered the two times she woke up. Once when they were spooning and Shawn’s arm snuck down and started stroking her sex, which turned in to a heated session of lovemaking. The other time, she woke up to use the bathroom and after, she climbed on his lower stomach. Then he woke up and realized she was grinding on top of him, his shaft in her one hand, a condom in the other.
Lacey slipped out of bed and padded to the bathroom. She knew it was probably over between them, but she felt good and satisfied and hoped he did too. Lacey took care of business and then made her way in to the kitchen.
A note on the fridge gave her some answers:
Lacey,
I had an amazing time with you last night.
Would like to take you out on another date.
Call me later.
Shawn

Lacey smiled to herself as she brewed her morning coffee and headed for the shower. Today was going to be a good day.

“Get the hell out of here!” Lex screamed through the phone. “I am coming over for breakfast and I want all the deets. Do you have meetings today?”
Lacey blushed and laughed, “Nope, I am all yours. Come over and I will cook something up.”
“Be there in ten.” Click . Lex didn’t even say good bye.
Lacey continued to laugh as she thought about her activities from last night. How much should she tell Lex? She pulled eggs, cheese and peppers out of the fridge as she reflected on the previous night.
Not surprisingly, Lex was there in less than ten minutes, flinging open the door and announcing her arrival. Lacey loved her best friend. As much as Lacey was quiet, Lex was outspoken. Lex came in and helped herself to a cup of coffee.
“Spill.”
“Sit. Otherwise you’ll fall on your face.”
“That good, huh?”
“Oh yeah. Even for you I think it would be considered amazing.”
Lex’s mouth dropped and she sat on a bar stool at the counter and waited.
Lacey went through everything, slowly sharing dinner and their conversation. When Lex got up for a second cup of coffee, Lacey could see that Lex was growing impatient for the juicy stuff. She decided to stop teasing Lex and dove in to the rest of the evening. When she went on about their romp in the entryway of the house, Lex was smiling and cheering. She shared every detail with Lex, as she did with everything in her life and then finally sat to eat her omelet.
“So, I guess you’re moving on from Bobby then?” Lex didn’t wait for an answer.
“That’s good. I am so happy for you honey. Do you think you’ll want to see him again?”
Lacey looked at the note he posted on her fridge and smiled. “Yep.”
Lex was staring at her, a serious look on her face. “Hun, just be careful okay? I mean it’s not a love match, you know. It’s just sex.”
Lacey hunched down on the stool. “I know. But we both enjoyed ourselves.” She’d just have to keep that shield up around her heart for awhile longer.
Lex watched her carefully and then nodded. “Well, as long as you’re okay with that, I say go for it. Have yourself a great time. Learn some new stuff and then move on.”
Lacey nodded silently, turning to clear the counter of their plates. She didn’t really think about Shawn being her match, but with the chemistry they had, would it be possible to find anyone else to set her on fire like that? A small sigh escaped her.
“Let’s go shopping!” Lex jumped up and grabbed her purse. “Get something nice for your next date and maybe new bathing suits for this summer.
Lacey couldn’t help
