usually steer clear of new recruit night. I had no need for it when I was with my last sub. I was about to leave when I saw you on the phone. You looked like you were going to bolt before you went to that table. I was intrigued so I approached you. Now here we are.”
    “But—”
“Elli, it doesn’t matter that we’ve just met. I’m not asking you to marry me or anything. Now go to sleep and we’ll talk more later. You wore me out.”
I opened my mouth to speak again and Ren slapped my ass.
“Don’t make me get the ball gag. Sleep.”
I closed my eyes thinking I wouldn’t be able sleep, my mind still racing with all kinds of questions, but his breathing lulled me into slumber.
When I woke up Ren was nowhere to be found. The room had been tidied up and the sheets were off the floor. I noticed a hamper to the side of the dresser. He must have covered me after I’d fallen asleep—the blanket felt warm and heavy. I threw it off me and wondered if I needed to toss it into the hamper. I was afraid to look and see if the other linens where in there or if someone had come by while I’d slept.
My heart ached. Ren had talked a good game, but now he was gone. I should have realised it was all just a sex game to the experienced man. I looked around the room, but couldn’t find my clothes anywhere. Bad form. He’d left and taken my clothes. What kind of man did that?
The door opened and I scrambled for the bed and hid under the sheet.
    “Ah! You’re awake.”
Ren ? I peeked over the covering to see him carrying a tray of something along with my clothes. My mouth dropped open, then closed slowly. I was speechless, but happy. I couldn’t stop the smile spreading across my face even if I wanted to.
    He hadn’t left me.
“You were rushing again, weren’t you, pet? I thought you might so I took your clothes with me. I didn’t want you to be gone when I got back.”
I looked down, ashamed of my actions. “I just thought—”
I felt a finger under my chin and looked up. Ren gave me a hard peck to the lips and moved away. He’d set the tray on the dresser along with my clothes. He took a moment to undress. Ren tossed his shirt aside and I couldn’t help but stare. The man was breathtaking. His slacks came off next and he wasn’t wearing anything else.
“You thought I’d left you here after last night. No jumping ahead,” Ren scolded. “Take some time to enjoy life. Are you hungry?” He brought the tray to the bed and settled his back against the headboard, just barely missing the bar attached to it.
“Yes. I’m starving actually.” I moved closer, but it must not have been close enough.
Ren moved some things off the bedside table and put the tray out of the way. He picked me up and set me on his lap.
“The kitchen here is excellent.” Ren grabbed something from the tray and rubbed it against my lips. I looked down to see a strawberry.
I opened my lips to accept the fruit, attempting to bite down but he pulled it away, playing with me. I opened again and waited.
“That’s my pretty pet. Go ahead, take a bite.”
I bit down and a strawberry had never tasted better.
“ Mmm …that’s good,” I moaned. I really was hungrier than I thought I would be.
Finished with the first bite I opened my mouth and Ren offered me a grape. I waited again for him to tell me to enjoy the fresh fruit.
    “So lovely,” he whispered.
The awe in his tone made my body heat up, but I didn’t look away at his compliment this time and he smiled at me.
He fed me more grapes and strawberries as well as a few chunks of pineapple. I was full in no time.
“May I feed you?” I asked.
“Yes, pet.” Ren grinned at me and happiness spread through my body. I knew now that I could please him with my actions.
“I like it when you call me that—pet.”
“Then I’ll have to use it more.” He winked at me.
I slid a strawberry across his lips; he opened up just enough to take a bite. I wanted to try something else
