her deep breathing and nodded with satisfaction. ‘Out for the count!’ he said to Livia, as they closed the door on her. ‘This is all going exactly to plan. Now, here’s what I want to happen in the morning …’ As he continued to talk, Livia listened carefully, and by the time they went to bed, she was almost as excited as her lover.
    When Chloe first opened her eyes, she couldn’t think where she was. There was a little daylight coming through a crack between the curtains covering a window to the right of her bed, but nothing looked familiar. Then, slowly, she began to remember the night before.
    Glancing at her watch, she saw that it was six o’clock. She was used to waking early, but this morning she had a feeling that a noise had woken her. Quietly she lay in her bed, listening.
    After a few moments she knew that she was right. It sounded as though someone was sobbing or groaning somewhere in the house. The sound would continue for a minute or longer, and then there would be a long pausebefore it began again. She felt her pulse quicken, and slipping out of bed opened her bedroom door and stepped out on to the landing.
    The noise was much louder there. It was a strange, keening kind of cry and she walked slowly along, trying to pinpoint exactly where it was coming from. Suddenly the noise grew much louder, and as she turned her head towards it, she found herself looking through an open bedroom door.
    Livia was crouched on all fours on top of a large four-poster bed, and it was she who was making the noise that had disturbed Chloe’s sleep. Her head was tipped back, her eyes half closed, and she was naked except for a thick leather collar round her neck. Attached to the collar was a thin leash.
    Carlos was kneeling behind Livia, his right hand gripping the top of her right thigh and his left hand gripping the leash. He too was naked, his hips and belly pressed tightly against Livia’s body. Every time he moved his hips back and forth, Livia groaned, and Chloe quickly realised that it was with pleasure.
    Then, just as Livia’s breath began to quicken and the tendons on her neck grew rigid, Carlos flicked the long leash beneath her, so that it struck the soft skin of her belly. Again she cried out, but to the watching Chloe, standing rooted to the spot, it seemed as though this time there was pain as well as pleasure in the sound.
    ‘Please, please don’t keep spoiling it,’ cried Livia, as Carlos started to move in and out of her again.
    ‘Sshh!’ he whispered tenderly, and, to her shame, Chloe felt her nipples growing hard. ‘Be good,’ he murmured. ‘Not much longer to wait now.’
    He quickened his pace, and again Livia threw back her head. Carlos began moving his right hand under her,stroking her between her thighs. Her breathing grew even more ragged, and she started to shake. ‘Yes! Yes!’ she cried, and Chloe swallowed hard.
    At that moment, Carlos looked directly over Livia’s head, and his penetrating blue eyes met Chloe’s. As he casually flicked the leash against the frantic Livia’s breasts, causing her to cry out in protest once more, Chloe forced herself to move. Grabbing the door-handle, she slammed the door shut on the shocking scene and fled back to her bedroom.

    I t was eight o’clock before Chloe ventured downstairs. She felt strange, excited but at the same time frightened by what she’d witnessed. She wasn’t entirely ignorant about sex, and had even experienced some teenage fumblings in the backs of cars before she’d decided on her vocation. However, what she’d seen happening between Carlos and Livia was way beyond anything she’d imagined, and had left her deeply disturbed.
    After she’d got back to her room, she hadn’t been able to settle. Instead she’d moved restlessly around, and when she’d showered, her hands had lingered on her breasts and stroked her nipples until they hardened into small pink peaks.
