           “Nah, we finna go on Bourbon Street,” he said.
           “Oh okay, well it’s nice that you thought about me.  I hope you and your friends have fun,” I said.
           “Yea of course I was thinkin’ bout yo fine ass.  I had a great time today,” he said and I could tell he was smiling.
           “I had a nice time also, thanks again for the handbags.  I really love them!” I gushed.
           “No problem Baby Girl, this is only the beginning, ya heard me,” he said.
           “How you know that?” I asked.
           “Because I do and you know what else I know?” he asked.
           “What?” I asked.
           “I know that you’re gonna let me take you out tomorrow,” he said.
           “Are you asking me out?” I asked.
           “Yea but since I know you gon say yea just hit me up with your address and I’ll see you around three,” he said.
           I loved that he had that confident attitude about him; his swag was on point.  I admired a man who knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to get it.  As I sat there smiling and thinking about spending time with him tomorrow I almost forgot we were on the phone until I heard him addressing me.
           “Baby Girl, you still there?” he asked.
           “Yea I’m sorry, okay I will send it to you and I’ll see you tomorrow.  Have fun tonight,” I said.
           “Okay I will and I can’t wait to see you tomorrow,” he said.
           “Good night,” we said at the same time and hung up.
           I could not stop smiling when I hung up the phone.  I went to check on my siblings and found them asleep in Chase’s bed.  I threw the cover on them, kissed both of their foreheads and turned the television off.  I went back to the living room and tried to read my book but I couldn’t concentrate.  I couldn’t get the fact that I was gonna see Antoine tomorrow off my mind.
           I went to my room and began looking through my closet for something to wear.  I settled on a pink and white sundress and some white open toe sandals.  I found some jewelry that accented my ensemble just right.  I hoped that Antoine liked the outfit when he saw it tomorrow.

    CHAPTER SIX-CARAMEL
     
           Christian came to pick me up around eight and I met him on the front step so he could meet my mom.  When we walked in she was coming from the back bedroom because she was going to her card game tonight.
           “Hey Mom, this is Christian!  Christian this is my mom, Tracy?” I said nervously.
           “Hell Ma’am it’s nice to meet you!” Christian said as he stuck out his hand to shake my mom’s.  She shook hands with him and I could tell she was impressed at his politeness.
           “Nice to meet you too Christian!  Where are you from, I mean what part of New Orleans?” she asked.
           “I live near the west banks Ma’am!” he answered.
           “How old are you?” she asked.
           “19 Ma’am,” he answered.
           “Are you aware that my daughter is only 16?” she asked.
           “Yes Ma’am,” he answered.
           “Well she tells me you want to take her to the movies.  What movie are you guys going to see?” she asked.
           “I thought I’d take her eat first and then we would go see that new movie No Good Deeds!” he answered.
           “Is that the new movie with Idris Elba and Taraji Henson?” she asked.
           “Yes Ma’am,”
