before her stood two big bears, one brown the other darker, almost black. They stood staring at her, making her think they were statues because neither of them moved.
Maggie opened her mouth to speak, but no words could form, her mind was too overloaded with questions that had no answers. This could not be real. Or was her mind once more playing a trick on her, was this reality, could people really change from one thing to another. Could she?
She searched inside herself for a moment, but could find nothing that told her how this was done. Frustrated she took a step forward, wanting to touch the bears to know for sure they were real.
She took a couple of slow steps closer, her hands reaching out to touch them. They moved towards her, and allowed her to thread her fingers through their thick fur. Looking down, directly into the eyes of the lighter brown bear she saw something familiar. She saw Aiden looking right back at her, his expression one of concern.
Whether this was normal or not she had no idea, but the shock of it hit her, and she fell to the ground. Maggie had fainted again. This was becoming too much of a habit.

Chapter Four
She opened her eyes to find them both leaning over her, full of concern.
“I’m sorry,” said Aiden. “There was no other way to show you what we are.”
“And what exactly are you?” she asked, sitting up.
Cyrus moved behind her so she could lean against him. His hands were warm on her arms, even through the thick coat. Despite everything, his touch ignited a fire inside her that longed to be kindled into a flame of desire, which only these two men could quench.
“Shifters, part man, part bear. Why we are like this, no one knows.” Aiden looked serious, studying her face intently to try to gauge her reaction.
“It’s not possible,” Maggie knew the words were redundant, after all, she had seen it with her own eyes.
“It’s why we are different. I know how hard it is to accept, if you want us to we will take you away from here. But please, don’t tell anyone what we are, this is our home and we don’t want to leave.”
“I won’t tell.” She looked from one man to the other, wanting to feel the close contact of their bodies against hers. “And I don’t want to leave.”
Aiden looked up at Cyrus, who smiled, a sight that made Maggie’s insides squirm. All she wanted them to do was take her back to the house as quickly as possible so they could take the relationship further, much further.
She tried to get up, Cyrus helping to lift her, while Aiden held her steady once she was standing. Taking one step at a time she headed back up the hill, the two men accompanying her. She could feel their impatience, wanting to get there quicker, but neither of them rushed her.
Finally, she asked to be carried, worried she would be too weak from this exertion to fully appreciate the intimate attention she craved from these two men. It was Cyrus who lifted her this time, and she put her arm around his neck and leaned against his shoulder.
“Are there others like you?” she asked.
    “Yes. Some.”
    “Are they all bears too?”
“No, some are wolves, and big cats.”
“I take it it’s not common knowledge then. I wondered if it was something I should have known, but my damn memory is still not there.”
    “No, you would not know.”
They had reached the house, Aiden opened the front door and Cyrus set her down just inside. The warmth was wonderful, and as soon as Aiden had shut the door, he took off the coat she had borrowed a lifetime ago. His hands wonderful on her body.
Now Cyrus spoke, his voice filled with need, but also worry. “Maggie, we should wait for your memory to return before this goes any further. You might be someone else’s mate already. I would never forgive myself if you end up regretting what might pass between us.”
She turned to him, and stretched to place her lips on his. “Cyrus, thank you. But right now I would rather let this happen,
