a shower door or curtain. Thinking of them in that tub with water showering down on them made desire shoot through her pelvis.
A soft growl came from Slanon. “Eat the rest of your fruit and then we’ll go to the outdoor living area.”
As she ate the rest of her fruit, she noticed that the restroom had a double sink made of the same light stone as the tub. At a touch, she found it to be smooth and cool. She briefly wondered if she’d ever be cool around him. The man lit her fire to molten levels. A steamy look from him had her eating the last of the fruit and handing him the bowl. A light entered his eyes and he smiled down at her. “Good, sweetling. You’ll be ready when the time is right. Let’s go outside.”
Mr. Tickles found her and ran his fluffy tail over her ankle. She picked him up and petted his soft fur while Slanon put her bowl in the sink. The long, drawn-out tweeting sound her pet made let her know he was enjoying their new home and her touch.
Slanon came over and she put her pink pet down. He looked up at her with big, sad yellow eyes. Yep, he knew he couldn’t go out. “Soon, you’ll get to go out with us.” She hated leaving her tiny friend, but she needed to see what other places outside might be dangerous for Mr. Tickles. She ran her hand down his tail and smiled when he purred. “I’ll be back, little one.”
As Slanon walked past, Mr. Tickles swatted at his calf. She glared at her wayward pet and then followed her mate out the door. “Sorry about his behavior.”
“It’s okay. Lukpas are known for attaching themselves to one or two people. He’ll get used to me being around you.”
She hoped so. They crossed a wooden bridge and entered the outdoor living area. Like everything else on this planet, it was massive. It also had a gazebo in the center, which had a glass top so you could still see the tree’s branches.
Since it only rained at night, she wondered why he needed the glass. “I love the gazebo, but why do you need it, since it only rains here at night?”
A grin spread his lips. “Sometimes I come out here at night to think. It also comes in handy when eating out here. No leaves in your food.”
“Ah, that makes sense. It’s beautiful.”
“Thanks. I love it out here.” He leaned against the rail and watched her.
His gaze was comforting. She guessed it was a mating thing. Looking out, she noticed that the view was amazing. This area was higher than the deck around the house, making this view slightly different from the other one. Looking back at the house made her heart stutter at the naturally beautiful sight. These people truly embraced blending with their planet. All of their homes were wonderfully in sync with nature.
She turned to her mate. “I love it. Can you fix the railing so Mr. Tickles can come out here with me? I’ll be glad to help.”
“Yes. I’ll fix it. For you, I’ll do almost anything.” He walked over to her and ran his thumb over her cheek. Her heart raced when he leaned down and kissed her sensually. When he straightened, his eyes were brighter than they’d been. “I won’t share you with anyone. That’s a line I can’t cross.” His tone was possessive and had a touch of a growl.
That growl heated her blood and made it pump faster through her veins. “I only want you.”

The sexual scent she gave off drove Slanon crazy. Her words had rung true and had calmed his dark side. Now, he needed to get to know her better. Wanting to be close to her as he got information from her, he took her hand and started leading her across the bridge.
    “Where are we going?”
“To our other outdoor relaxing spot. It is much better for couples, or sleeping when your skin is hot.” At a look from her, he further explained, “It has a bed and I plan on using it as I talk to you.”
They stepped onto the main deck that surrounded their house and he led her to the other side. Her soft intake of breath when she saw it made him
