could never forget that moment in his entire life. He wanted to cherish it forever as he knew that when he would return to his back, that moment would keep him in peace.
They both kissed each other one more time and in each other they were able to find the lost piece of their soul – which wasn’t that lost anymore.
The moment they parted their lips, Ashton knew that it was just the right time. They both could see a portal opening right in front of their eyes. It was a blinding source of light and though Lisa had no idea about it, Ashton realized what it meant.
“Oh God! What is it, Ashton? Hurry up! We should leave this place!” Lisa said as they both got up.
“No. We don’t have to run, Lisa. This is a portal to Jahaba. I can finally go home with the help of this portal now. This is it, Lisa. This is farewell,” Ashton said and took a long and satisfying look at Lisa for he was about to go home.
“What? This can’t be happening right now. No. We just got together, Ashton. I just confessed my love for you and now you are going. No. This can’t happen to me. I thought we had a few more days to us. I thought we had a tomorrow to cherish. I thought we had a forever!”
Tears started to fall from Lisa’s eyes as she saw Ashton leaving her side.
“Sometimes, forever ends, Lisa – way too soon. Ours lasted just for a moment too!” he said as he started to walk towards the portal. At that moment, he had a choice – he could either sacrifice the love of his life to return to Jahaba or we would lose the dream of going back home forever in order to be with his one true love. He knew that both love and home were irreplaceable. He knew that both the options would make his life miserable, but he needed to take one. He decided to leave earth and go back to Jahaba. That is where he belonged. That is where he chose to be.
He looked at Lisa one more time as he took one more step towards the light and left. Lisa stood there, completely blinded by the source of light that was making it impossible for her to see anything around.
“Ashton! Oh God! Where did you go? Come back!” she started to scream his name, but there was no one around. She couldn’t believe that it was all gone and that too so soon.
She turned around to head back home and to live an unfulfilled life with her own misery when she was Ashton standing right in front of her. It was nothing less than a miracle and she started to believe as if her brain was playing a game with her.
She ran towards him and hugged him tightly. Their lips met and she finally realized that it was not a dream. Ashton was right in front of her as she got her happy ending.
“What happened? Why didn’t you go?” she asked him.
“As I stood there, I realized that I had to make a decision. I had to choose between love and home. I thought that I could choose home and will return to Jahaba, but how could I when you were both, my home and love. You are where I choose to be and I can’t imagine living without you. You are not only the love of my life, Lisa. But you are also the home where I choose to stay for the rest of my life. I don’t want to go anywhere else. I have you by my side and that is all I need.”
As Ashton said those words, Lisa realized how much she meant to him. She knew that she had found just the right fit for her. Ashton was everything that she was looking for and with him by her side, she was no longer incomplete. She was content and knew that she would be living a long and happy life with Ashton.
“I love you so much, Ashton!” she said as she hugged him tightly and had no intentions of letting him go.
“I love you too, Lisa. I love you eternally!” he said and meant each and every word of it. He looked at the sky from where he had come from and realized that he would only be looking to Jahaba from a distance. It was only a planet to him now. His home was with Lisa and he couldn’t wait to commence the rest of his life with her.
