They would make some passionate love almost every night, which would make Lisa wonder about the unique bond that they both shared.
Gradually, she started to believe that maybe whatever Ashton had earlier told her was true. Maybe they were star-crossed lovers and somehow Lisa had to see him with a fresh perspective. Their journey gave Lisa a new pair of eyes to see their entire relationship with. She had never seen Ashton with a romantic angle, but that was before he confessed her love for her. It was all before he shared his deepest and darkest of secret with her and made her believe that how her love story was written in the stars. Sometimes, it takes more than just a knight in a shining armor to come and give a girl her happy ending. There are times when one’s happy ending is written in the stars and someone from a planet which is a thousand of Light Years away from us comes in order to give us our happy ending.
Lisa was one such exception as her Prince Charming came from a land called Jahaba, and when she realized that she in love with him, it was probably too late for her.
It was one of those usual evenings when the both of them were simply sitting in the middle of a lush green meadow. They were out hiking for the last two hours or so and before going ahead, they thought of taking a stop in order to refill their energy. Lisa could hear the sound of a river flowing somewhere nearby and how birds were chirping everywhere around them. She couldn’t see the wind, but could certainly feel its presence as if it was making love with all those autumn leaves that were set to leave their branches.
Lisa looked at Ashton and at that moment, she realized that there was nowhere else in the entire world where she would rather be. It was not because of the amazing scenic beauty that was around her, but it was because of Ashton. She couldn’t wait to spend the rest of her life with him and even though it felt like an impossible thing, she wanted to give it a try. She knew that he would be going to Jahaba anytime soon and that it would all be a distant memory one day, but she wanted to confess her feelings to Ashton before he would leave. That was a risk she was willing to take as she knew that she had nothing to lose, except her entire future with Ashton, which was never hers in the first place.
“Ashton, I know this will sound weird coming from a hot-headed girl like me, but you did it. In the last few months, you have certainly made me realize that you are the one for me. I have never believed in those fairytale romances or in the concept of star-crossed lovers, but you have made me believe in every possible thing in the world and beyond. Well, particularly the beyond. I don’t know how to say it or express my feelings to you because I have never been very good at all these things.
I don’t know about our future. I know that one day you will leave me and go back to your home and I don’t know when that day would come. We have this moment – right here, right now and trust me, when I say this. At this moment, there is nowhere else where I would rather be. I am with you right now and I know that I have found my home in you. We don’t have any past. We don’t have a future. All we have is right now – the present and I love you in this right now. I love you, Ashton. I love you so much!”
Lisa couldn’t be any more honest with her words. She leaned towards him and they both shared one of the most beautiful moments of their lives. Lisa became utterly emotional as she confessed her love for her. It was definitely not that easy for her, especially after knowing the future. But she did it. She knew that she owed that much to Ashton and hiding her feeling from him won’t be the right thing.
Ashton didn’t say a word. He just kept looking at Lisa in all her beauty.
“I love you too, Lisa. I love you to the stars and the moon!” he finally said after taking a moment in order to truly register it in his memory so that he
