upstairs to play a little blackjack. Sitting at one of the tables, I peep Ayce walking around with Ric before he disappeared up the stairs, which meant Duce was back in town. I played a couple of games before I ran into Ric.
“Shit, what's up ma, it’s been a while,” Ric said staring into my eyes. Ric was a sexy nigga he looked just like Ryan Coogar and knew how to throw that dick. Some people may think I'm a hoe, but I am like a nigga. If they can sample all types of pussy, why can't I sample all types of dick and still be on my shit.
“It has been a long time,” I said seductively. “I saw you talking to Ayce.”
“Yeah, that's my nigga,” Ric said looking at me sideways. “Look ma, I know how you roll, but my nigga been through enough without you playing mind games. You done already fucked him over once, so just let whatever you’re thinking burn,” he said walking away.
He was right, but my heart belonged to Ayce. If he gave me another chance to be with him, I wouldn't fuck around no more. I would be faithful and loyal to him.
A couple minutes later I went downstairs to find Ash and ran into Ayce.
“What's up Ayce, what brings you here?” I asked smiling at him.
Chapter 7
Ayce
Since I buried my mother, every time I close my eyes I have a nightmare about that nigga Joe taking out my sister and me, so sleep hasn't come easy to me. The sooner I found that nigga the better.
Ric set up a meeting for me to talk to Duce at his casino out on Northfield. He had just got back into town and didn't want to waste any time. I went up to his office while Ric put 5k on red 32.
Entering his office I passed another nigga on his way out.
“What the fuck you looking at?” he yelled.
“Bruh, I suggest you keep it movin’.”
“Or what?” he said stepping into my space.
I couldn't believe this mark ass nigga was trying me, and I was about to give him what he was looking for until Duce came out his office and told him to get back to work.
“Let me start off by saying sorry to hear about your mother,” Duce said sitting in a chair behind his desk.
“Yeah, so am I, but we here to talk business right?”
Duce looked at me funny for a moment then continued to talk.
“Tell me something, you managed to keep your hands clean this long, why do you want in now?”
“I have to take care of my sister now so I need some real money, and working at the Quickie Mart is just not going to make that happen for me.”
“That's very true. Come, take a walk with me. See, I have been watching you since the first time I approached you and I know you got some hustle in you, but I'm not sure you are cut out for the streets.”
I listened as I followed him down the back hallway and into an elevator. The elevator took us to the rooftop where a couple of his goons were waiting. The further we walked out onto the roof, the clearer the scene before me became. There was a nigga hanging off the roof by a rope. His hands had been cut off and he had been badly beaten.
“This is Rufus. His job is to collect all my money and bring it here so we can make dirty money clean money. Now, I believe I pay my people well… Do I pay y'all well?” he asked as he turned to his goons. They all nodded their heads.
“This nigga,” Duce said kicking Rufus. He grunted from the impact.
“The nigga that I thought was one of my most loyal niggas, was stealing from me, and not just a little bit of money. Between him and his partner, Rino they have stolen over 1.4 million dollars over the years. I'm not hurting for the money by far. I got bank, but it’s the principle. Rino has already been dealt with, but if you want me to put you on, you have to handle Rufus and his job is yours.”
Duce handed me a hammer and I wasted no time taking Rufus out of his misery. You would have thought I had killed someone before, but I hadn't. The way I looked at it, the nigga was dead anyway, I just sped up the process. Duce looked at me and smiled,
