ya’self homeless a lot sooner than later.”
I had forgotten all about the weed smell. How could I have not remembered that? I just kept walking to the house and once we got inside she didn’t let up one bit.
“You know you starting off on the wrong damn foot already. You walked out on your job, you dress all trampish, and then you next door getting high and doing god knows what with that damn lesbian. Are you a lesbian Tiffany? You like the pretty ladies? Cuz if you do you can just carry all that sinful foolishness away from here. This here is a god fearing household.”
“Look grandma. Number one, I didn’t walk out on the job. I was given permission to leave. Number two, okay, I smoked a little weed with Monica but guess what grandma? I’m a grown and very responsible woman. I am no longer the little girl you saw years ago. And as far as me being a lesbian, not only am I offended but I’m hurt that my own grandmother could say something so disrespectful to me, especially since I haven’t even been with a man yet. Oh don’t look surprised. Yes Mama Belle I’m still a virgin. And last but not least. As far as my clothes go. I would ask my parents to take me shopping, but in case you didn’t get the memo they are both FUCKING DEAD.”
I had totally spazzed out on Mama Belle then I stormed out of the house and left her standing there in total amazement. When I got outside I just sat on the porch and began to cry uncontrollably. I stopped momentarily when I saw two cars pull up. One was a brand new Mercedes, and the other appeared to be a convertible BMW but I really couldn’t tell. All I know was that they were both expensive and brand new. Monica had come out of the house and greeted the driver of the Mercedes with a hug and a kiss. Then he gave her the keys and got in the BMW with the other guy and they left. Monica got in the Mercedes and was about to pull off, but when she noticed me on the porch she stopped in front of my house.
“What up girl? You trying to ride out with me?”
“Hell yeah. Anything to get away from here.” I said jumping up and wiping my tears. I hurried over to the car and got in and we pulled off.
“So where we goin?” I asked anxiously.
“That depends. Open up the glove compartment. How much money is in there?”
I took the wad of money out and counted it silently.
“$2,500” I responded in amazement.
“Damn that nigga getting cheap. Okay first stop is the nail salon, my treat.
“Look girl, I appreciate it and everything but I don’t have any money right now so I don’t know when I will be able to pay you back.”
“Bitch please. Ain’t nobody trippin off no bread, you can’t take that shit with you. Besides, by the time I’m finished spending this $2500, some other pussy whipped nigga will throw some more bread my way. It just goes in one big beautiful circle.”
“Damn it’s like that out here?”
“Nah baby. It’s like that everywhere. Niggas work for the pussy, so you gotta make the pussy work for you. But don’t worry; I’m going to show you how to never be broke again. That is, if you are willing to learn.”
“Hell yeah. Teach on girl.” I laughed as we weaved in and out of traffic.

A NEW BALLER IN TOWN
TRAVON
I was in my hotel suite sitting on the edge of the bed when my cell phone rang, it was my boy Sincere.
“Hello? What’s good my nigga? Oh yeah. I been in town for about two hours now. Well I had to stop by the mall and pick up a few things. You know I gotta come to the club fresh to death. What did I get? Nothing really. A couple of outfits with matching kicks, some socks, boxers and a bad bitch, you know the usual. Well you know how I do. Yeah I’ll meet you at the club around twelve.
