somewhere on the floor, but he didn’t care. “We’ll figure it out next time… Will there be a next time?” He wanted this, but he wasn’t going to push Kyle into anything. He wanted to be wanted in return. He wanted to be loved as much as he loved.
Kyle smiled again, his breath warm, soft, sleepy. “After a nap.”
“What about school?” Kevin scooted onto his side up against the wall where he’d slept the night. They were too damned big to share a twin bed, but he’d be damned if he wanted Kyle out of his reach.
“We have car trouble. Battery is dead. No one to jump it. Bus already ran. We missed it. We’re both sick. Chicken Pox. Something serious.” Kyle snuggled close to him his head pressed into the hollow at the base of Kevin’s neck.
“What about practice?” He stroked Kyle’s arm as sleep clawed at his eyes.
“Miraculous recovery. We’ll catch a ride. Something. I can’t wait for next time.” Kyle’s voice trailed off as he fell into a deep sleep, his face tilted up to Kevin’s. Kevin kissed the tip of his brother’s nose and let himself relax. Kyle couldn’t wait for next time. That was enough for him.

Chapter Five

Thursday afternoon practice was mostly a wash due to rain. Kyle whistled as he dripped into the locker room. He’d kicked as much mud off his cleats as he could before coming inside, but he and everyone else tracked in mud and grass. He caught Kevin’s gaze from across the room where his brother had already stripped down to his undershirt and pants. Kyle’s whistle stopped when he couldn’t remember the next note. His dick twitched at the wink his brother threw him.
“You seem incredibly chipper lately,” his friend Sean Holmes bumped him on his way past. “Almost like you’re getting some. A steady stream of some.”
Jesus. Was it that obvious? Oh , fuck. Could they tell he was fucking around with his brother? Well, they weren’t fucking. More like heavy sucking and licking. No one had fucked anything, except his throat. He was getting good at sucking Kevin until he came, loudly. He’d even learned to not gag. Oddly he enjoyed the act. And the taste.
Sean whistled loudly and pointed, laughing. “Kyle’s getting pussy. So tell us, who is she? I bet it’s Heather B. She’s been after you for months.”
“If it was Heather, don’t you think you’d have heard about it by now?” Kyle walked over to his locker. He kept his gaze on the vented metal, not daring to even glance at Kevin for help. If he looked at Kevin they’d figure it out.
“That is true.” Sean opened his locker and started peeling off his uniform. Pads would go in the main space, helmet up top. The rest would go home to be washed for the next practice. “So who is it?”
Kyle dragged his wet jersey over his head. He had no lie thought up. Not a damned one. And why was it anyone’s business if he was or wasn’t getting some?
“No one. I haven’t been out in so long , I can’t even remember the last time.”
“Julianne Hughes.” Sean supplied the name of the last girl Kyle dated. “But she’s hooked up with Conners now.”
“Seriously, how do you remember this shit when I can’t?” Kyle wiped his pads down with a towel before storing them in his locker. He didn’t want mold growing on the fabric. Right now he didn’t know if his parents would spring for another set of practice gear this late in the season. Next year would be different. He’d have everything provided by the football program. He wouldn’t have to worry about keeping practice pads and cleats in good repair.
“Hey, Sean, leave him alone. If he says there’s no one, then don’t mess with him.” Kevin couldn’t just stay out of it could he? He had to chime in and throw suspicion on them. “I mean it’s been a rough week, our grandmother is dying, you douche nozzle. The parents are in Savannah, we’ve been dealing with everything at home on our own. He’s not seeing anyone. He’s just
