sorority. Lucky for me, all of that work paid off.
She seemed nice enough but for some reason, I didn’t quite trust her. She was a little bit fake or something, I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
I held out my hand for a handshake, but she went straight in for a hug.
“We’re sisters now, silly. We don’t shake hands like business men!” she said, jokingly.
She pulled away from the hug and I smiled nervously.
“It’s good to meet you too, Tiffany. And yes, I’m Nicole, the one who bombarded you with emails all summer. I’m so excited to be here! I worked so hard to keep my grades up in high school so that I could be accepted into your sorority.”
She held open the door for me and motioned for me to come inside. As I walked in, I noticed two handsome young guys sitting on the bench near the doorway. I smiled coyly at them and before I could say a word, they introduced themselves.
“I’m Nick,” the blonde one said with a smile. “And this is my friend, Jake. We’re both frat brothers at the fraternity across the street. Welcome to your new home!”
“I’m Nicole,” I stuttered, barely able to get the words out. Both of them were gorgeous and muscular, unlike any boy I met in high school. Nick had blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Jake had thick black hair and dark eyes. Both of them were tanned to perfection and wearing bright colored muscle shirts, revealing their toned bodies.
“Where are you guys from?” I asked, trying to start a conversation.
Nick flashed a quick smile and then said, “We’re from the west coast, but we both got academic scholarships to attend here. It was hard to pass up free college.”
Jack rolled his eyes at Nick and said, “Yeah, well, some of us actually have to pay for school. You don’t have to rub it in. So, where are you from, Nicole?”
I felt my face get hot as I started to blush. I couldn’t believe that these gorgeous guys were actually showing interest in me.
“I’m from a small town that’s about three hours from here. I was so excited when I got accepted into this school. One of the main reasons I wanted to come here was because of this sorority and I couldn’t be happier that they let me in,” I said.
As I spoke, I noticed Nick staring me up and down. It felt like he was undressing me with his eyes and I could feel the attraction in the air. It was electric and unlike anything I had ever felt before. I started to blush even more.
Before I could ask any more questions, Tiffany grabbed my arm and said, “Okay, come on, Nicole. I want to show you to your new room.”
I smiled at the boys and then followed Tiffany’s lead up the stairs. The house was huge and there were a lot of bedrooms. We walked down the hall and approached an open door.
“Well, here it is,” Nicole said.
I turned into the room and immediately got excited. My parents had paid extra for me to have a room to myself and it was perfect. There was a bed, a desk and a big closet. It was everything that I needed.
My parents were right behind us, carrying my stuff.
“We’ll let you get acquainted with your new friends, honey,” my dad said. “Here’s your stuff. Call us if you need anything, Pookie.”
I blushed with the embarrassment of being called Pookie in front of my new friend.
“I love you, guys,” I said, as I gave each of them a hug. “I’ll call you soon, I promise.”
Then my parents left, leaving Tiffany and I standing in my new room.
“Well, I’ll let you get settled in a bit,” Tiffany said, with a cute smile on her face. “You let me know if you need anything. I’ll see you at 8 tonight.”
I cocked my head to the side and asked, “8 tonight? What happens at 8?”
Tiffany looked at me like I was crazy. “Initiation, silly! You didn’t think you could join the sisterhood without some sort of initiation, did you? Meet me downstairs at 8.”
She started giggling as she turned and walked out of the door.
    “Tiffany, wait!” I shouted at
