leave at dawn to return home. We need more room now and I need to

waited a moment and I looked at him with my head cocked a little to
one side as I replied “But, I thought that once we were mated
my scent would change and the werewolves would be unable to track me
easily?”
    Patros
replied “Well, yes that is true your scent has changed
actually. It has altered since the initial change too. That is why I
know the move is more urgent now that the mating was successful.”

    I
seemed to light up like a light bulb. “What do you mean? Why
the urgency? I don't understand!” I told him.

in turn responded “Because we will need to begin preparations.

interrupted as I dropped the rug in shock.“Are you telling me
what I think you are” I stuttered.

Chapter 4.
    Patros
entered my mind and I felt him recoil as he looked deep into my eyes
saying.
    “ Calm
down Alex. Your mind is whirling in chaos. There is nothing to worry
about. I told you the mating was complete. Did the “mating”
not give you a clue? We didn't use protection and we mated numerous
times. What did you expect? I can tell by your scent now that you are
pregnant and that we are expecting a child. Possibly two as twins are
common in my family.”
    I
stood there for a few moments in shock with my mouth agape, Stunned
as Patros led me to a chair and put the rug carefully around my
shoulders as if I was some sort of invalid. Knelt in front of me
enveloping me in his arms but I couldn't respond. I heard him in my
mind call out to Talos, but my mind was in so much turmoil that I had
little coherent thought.
    Finally
the damn burst and I yelled “Pregnant. I'm pregnant! I'm
expecting a baby? Possibly babies? Plural?”
    Bile
rose to my throat and I ran to the bathroom and promptly vomited. I
was hoping from nerves and stress and this wasn't a sign of what I
could expect.
    When
I finally returned from the bathroom Talos and Patros were in deep
discussion. I was excluded from this as apparently I wasn't the only
one with wall building abilities.
    I
sat down at the table and began to eat the food set there. For one
thing I was starving, it must have been all the energy used in so
much sex. I wiped the plate clean with a chunk of the bread and drank
from the goblet. The drink tasted a little odd but I paid it no never
mind and drank it down in one.
    Patros
had ambled over to me meanwhile and knelt next to me. Still naked
which was pretty unnerving at this point after his recent revelation.
    “ Alex
look at me!” with that he reached out to take my hands. The
