were peaking against the black dress, so he knew she was lying.  What he didn’t understand was why.  “I think the first order of business is to get rid of this,” he said conversationally.  A moment later, her pearl necklace was ripped from her throat, pearl beads scattered everywhere around the room and she gasped, her hand flying to her throat in shock.
“Why did you do that?” she demanded, furious that he would be so mean and heavy handed.
“Because my wife,” he emphasized that word again, “does not wear fake jewelry!”  His hand came up to her throat, his thumb resting on her pulse while his other fingers branded her skin with the heat of his touch.  Her own fingers grabbed his wrist, thinking to pull his hand away but her body had other ideas and there was no pull in her grip.  Just astonishment that he was touching her like this.
“Are you trying to prove that you’re bigger and stronger than me?” she tossed out, desperate now to get away from him before she did something really humiliating, like melt into his touch and revel in how much she really did want this.  “Or are you just proving once again that you’re a bully?”
Damon felt the trembling inside of her and his touch gentled even more.  He didn’t want her scared and yelling at him.  He wanted her passionate and screaming out his name.  He looked down at her, thinking she truly was a beautiful woman.  “We’re going to make love tonight, Sasha.  Taunting me won’t help you get out of that.”
“So you’re going to rape me?” she threw that out there, praying that something would stop this.
His smile was slow and confident, filled with male knowledge.  “Will it be rape?” he asked softly.
Damon didn’t give her a chance to reply.  His mouth covered hers, eliminating her ability to stop him with some other cruel words.  She’d braced herself for a brutal kiss because of his anger.  But when his lips touched hers, they were very gentle.  Coaxing and teasing.  His teeth bit her lower lip, encouraging her to participate in the kiss.
Sasha was so stunned at the touch, she wasn’t sure what to do other than simply stand there with his hand still on her neck and enjoy the sensations spreading out to every part of her body.  He was touching her lips and her neck and yet, every part of her body was singing with excitement.  The trembling was still there, she was still afraid of what was to come, but her trembling had shifted from fear to anticipation.
Then his large, strong hand slid from her throat to the back of her head, dislodging the pins that had kept her hair in the sophisticated twist, causing it to tumble down her back.  That hand gripped her hair, gently pulling her head back so that he could deepen the kiss.
She would hate herself in the morning, but right now, all she could do was revel in the heat that swamped her body and, yes, she melted into him when he pulled her closer.
Sasha felt that hardness against her stomach and tried to pull back, not wanting to hurt him.  But Damon wasn’t having any of that.  His free hand moved to her waist, then slid around to her bottom, pulling her against him so that she could feel everything.  Her hands reached down, trying to push that part of him away but he wouldn’t let her.
“Don’t do that, Sasha,” he growled into her ear, nipping at her earlobe.  “Feel all of me,” he coaxed. “Know what you do to me and enjoy your power.”
She shook her head, he lifted his own and looked down at her, surprised at how painfully she was blushing.  And that turned him on even more.  He’d never realized what a traditional male he was, but the thought that his wife, this gorgeous woman, was truly innocent of everything male, made his body ache to show her this sensual world.  She was all his!  No other man had touched her even slightly.
“Please Damon,” she tried one more time, but the words came out more as a plea than
