than moving in with two sex gods, but as Archer said, staying alive was quite the incentive, and it was only temporary. She was seriously questioning her sanity, but she couldn’t explain it. She trusted Archer and knew that he would keep her safe. He makes me feel warm, she thought. She did her best to assure herself that she was following her instinct, not her libido. Still, it wasn’t going to be comfortable being around him all the time. Just looking at him made her want to weep, she constantly had to stop herself from reaching out and touching him.
They drove to her apartment to retrieve some of her belongings. Archer opened the car door for her, waiting until she was inside before closing it for her as well. Hmm, and she had thought chivalry was dead.

They arrived at her apartment. She unlocked the door and let Archer in.
Kitty was home, and she yelled from her room, “Addster! That hot, blond, sex-on-a-stick guy was looking for you again. You said he creeped you out, so I told him about that time I walked in on you doing your thing to get rid of him. Strangely enough, it didn’t seem to work. It kinda made him more interested.”
Addison paled and avoided Archer’s gaze. He raised an eyebrow at her but said nothing, a slight smile curling his lips. Kitty walked out wearing her usual attire, and a big grin spread across her face when she saw Archer. A spike of irrational jealousy went through Addison before she mentally slapped herself. Kitty made approving sounds as her gaze roamed over Archer.
“You finally getting some action, Addster?”
Addison made a frustrated noise before going to her room, deciding not to respond. After throwing some things into a suitcase she went back out into the kitchen, where Kitty was trying to make Archer try her latest food atrocity.
“Kitty, leave him alone. I’d rather have him alive, if you don’t mind.” Archer mouthed a thank you at her. “Listen, I’m gonna be gone for a few days. I’ll come by to drop the rent off.”
Kitty smiled and waggled her eyebrows suggestively. “A few days, hmm? Is that how long it takes to sate this man? No problem, Addy. Maybe you’ll come back less grumpy.”
Addison let out a groan, and noticed Archer was failing miserably at trying to conceal his laugh. He came over and took Addison’s bag, ignoring her scowl.
“Nice meeting you, Kitty,” he said before walking out the door. Addison hugged Kitty goodbye then trailed after him, staring at his butt the whole way to the car. And what a butt it was; truly exceptional.
“I can feel your eyes on my ass, Addison,” Archer said, not sounding as though he was offended by the news. In fact, he seemed elated by the very idea of it. Addison blushed but said nothing.
Well, the next few days were certainly guaranteed to be interesting.

    Chapter 6

Archer got Addison’s suitcase out of the truck and walked her up to his apartment. She had been quiet on the drive over, stuck in her thoughts. It was not lost on Archer that she was trusting him with her life. He felt humbled, although he hadn’t really done anything to earn it. He gave her a quick tour then showed her the guest room, placing her bag on the middle of the four-poster bed
“Goddamn,” she said as her eyes travelled over teal-coloured walls, bare of any decoration. She sat down on the white chaise lounge positioned at the end of her bed. “I can work with this.”
“I’m glad.” His lips quirked into an adorable smile. “Are you hungry, Addison? I can make something for you.”
Addison raised one of her finely arched brows. “You can cook?”
Jake walked past her door in nothing but a towel, wrapped far too low around his lean hips, cutting off Archer’s reply. Jake grinned, not the least bit embarrassed by his lack of clothing.
“Addison, nice to see you again. Please make yourself at home. My room is just over here if you need … anything,” he said, dropping his voice on the last word
