panic. I reached Sharron’s car and threw myself in. The drive to my office was
really only about ten minutes from where we were, but it felt as though it was
hours. During that time, I continued to call Mason and still had no answer. I
couldn’t help but think the worst.

 
    What in the world was going on? First this morning with an
oddly unlocked door, and now someone broke into my office and shot another
person! This was not how today was supposed to go. None of this was supposed to
happen. I was just supposed to have a pampuss day
with Sharron and talk girl stuff. Not talk about murders and break-ins.

 
    Fear and panic was eating away at me inside. Something
wasn’t right. But I had no answers until we showed up at the office. I was
already dreading what I would be met with there. Today was going to be a very
hard day.
