He regretted he wasn’t filling her, but this was the first step toward their mating. She was comfortable enough to engage in this torment with him. It would only be a matter of time before they were tied together.
    Even as his yell quieted, she continued drawing out the pleasure with her maddening touch. Stroking. Squeezing. Scraping.
    Until he finally had to place his hand over hers, forcing her to still. “ Pyabi .”
    She hummed and gentled her hold, easing her pace until she merely cupped his lessening hardness.
    Rina finally released him and cuddled close, resting her head on his shoulder. “That answered that question.”
    “What?” he whispered and pressed a soft kiss to her temple. He wanted to sink into her, but he enjoyed this closeness as well.
    “Whether we can make love in the water. With you like this.”
    Like this. His tail.
    “Are you happy about that? Does my tail…” He did not want to hear her say his form in the water displeased her, but he would do anything to make her happy. If that didn’t include lovemaking in the oceans, then he would not make love to her in the oceans. At least, not fully. She didn’t seem to mind what they’d just done.
    “I love it.” She lifted her head and met his gaze. “I love it. I think you’re beautiful on land or in the sea. I was only curious because I don’t want us to be limited. Now I know we won’t be.”
    Tave grinned. “No, there is nothing we cannot do.” A high-pitched squeal traveled through the water, his ears recognizing the summons despite the fact he wasn’t fully submerged, and his smile slipped. “Come. Vados says there are humans lurking and trying to catch sight of us. We can finish this—” When she opened her mouth to reply, he was quick to finish his statement. “Or not, once we’re inside. It is your choice.” He brushed his lips across hers. “But we should finish our swim now.”
    “But later…” There was no mistaking her need.
    “Later we shall do whatever you desire.” For now, he needed to discover what concerned Vados so much…
