who wants to fuck me.
Averting her gaze, she grabbed her bag from the bed.
“Only a friend? Does he know about the club?” John asked, standing beside her.
“He doesn’t seem to. Jesse hasn’t asked about you. In fact, he’s the first man who talks to me about everything but club business.” Biting her lip, she stared down at the floor.
“What’s going on, Piper? The boys have commented about your withdrawal from them.” He tucked some of her hair behind her ear.
“Nothing is going on. I promise. It’s woman stuff. That time of the month and all that.” She crossed her fingers behind her back hoping he’d back off.
“Woman things?” John wrinkled his nose. “Okay, honey. I’ll tell the boys to back off. They know better than to get mixed up with women during that trying time.”
It took every ounce of will power not to burst out laughing.
“Thanks, Dad. I’m out for the day. Do you have everything under control here? I finished the books and I’ve also dealt with that crap Junior left you as well.” She walked to her desk, handing him back the file John asked her to prepare.
“I really shouldn’t involve you in club business,” John said, taking the folder from her.
“No matter. I’ve got to earn my keep and this is what you’d do if I’d been a boy. I’m not a rider but I can keep your business in working order. Bye, Dad.” She kissed John on the cheek, heading out of the door. Stopping, she turned to look at him. “What happened to Junior? He’s not been around here lately.”
    “Business, baby.”
Smiling, she gave him a wave, heading out toward the coffee shop. She’d argued with her father about walking today rather than riding. Piper didn’t want any of the men asking questions. The romance book she’d been reading was back at home. Looking up as she neared the coffee shop she saw Jesse, smoking a cigarette, leaning against the brick wall.
He really was a handsome man, sexy and dangerous at the same time.
    “You came,” he said.
“Yeah, I came.” Glancing at the spot where she usually sat, Piper waited for him to speak.
“Did you bring your book?” he asked.
She shook her head. Words failed her in that moment.
“Do you want to come home with me?”
Piper wanted to get rid of her virginity. Jesse looked like the kind of man who’d give a woman pleasure.
“Yes, I want to go home with you,” she said.
“Follow me.” He took her hand once again leading her toward his truck. He helped her inside before taking his position beside her.
Her hands were sweaty again. Staring at everyone going about their business, she wondered if they knew what she was about to do.
Sex, she was about to go and have sex.
Heart pounding, she squeezed her thighs together to try to stem her arousal. Neither of them spoke as they made their way toward his apartment. He parked the truck and together they made their way up to his door.
Did he feel nervous about what they were about to do? She doubted it.
Once inside with the door closed, Jesse removed her coat.
His arms were around her, holding her close. Resting her head against his shoulder, she heard their breathing.
“Do you want this?” he asked.
    “I’m here.”
“Being here and wanting to be here are two different things.” He spun her around to face him.
“Yes, I want to be here.”
He took her further into the room. The curtains were still open but looking outside she saw no one would see them.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said, sinking his fingers into her hair.
“You don’t have to say things like that.”
    “Like what?”
“Things like I’m beautiful. I’m here, Jesse.”
His fingers tightened in her hair making her gasp. The sharp bite of pain turned her on, shocking her to her core.
“I’m not saying shit to get in your pants. This is who I am. I’ve been playing the nice guy for you. It’s time to show you who I really am.”
She really wanted to see the real him.
