be an asshole and my brother does it well even when he doesn't want to.” Abby said laughing.
“What do you mean he is in a position where he has to be an asshole?”
“Well, he has to look over a bunch of people and has to make decisions for them. I think his job is harder than it looks.”
“So, why does he do it then?”
“Because it's expected of him and far more harm could come if he didn't”
“That just sucks. I think he should be able to do what he wants to do, not have everything so dependent on him, where it leaves him without a choice in the matter. That is not right” Angyl said indignantly.
Abby laughed and says, “I wish it could work that way for us.”
“Well, you guys are so strange. It could work that way for you all” Angyl snapped out.
“Let's finish up before my brother gets back.” Abby said as she got Angyl off the topic of their family.
Then she realized that Angyl was relaxed enough to get into her head. So she did and what she saw horrified her. She saw Angyl being beaten to near death several times. The way he tortured her with cigarette burns on the inside of her legs and under her breasts, He would cut her then burn it closed. The most horrifying thing was whenever she would protect their son against him, she would be punished with them all at once instead of separately. He got the closest to killing her when she had tried to run. He had seen her with bags packed, and their son ready to go. He had decided to come home early, if it hadn't been for a neighbor finally calling the cops, she would have been dead.
In Angyl's mind she feared her son would have been as well. It was amazing that this lovely woman, who should be dead, was still here alive, and still fighting. She looked at her son with total and complete love, when a lot of women would look at their kids with hate for less than this woman has been through. This wonderful kind woman was stronger than she believed she was and Abigail vowed that no matter what she was going to be there for her as a friend.

David made it to the book store and went in; he looked around and didn’t see her. He did however see an older gentleman working, so he went to talk to him.
“Hi, my name’s Frank. I’m looking for Angyl, have you seen her?”
“No, I haven’t. I got a note saying she wasn’t going to be in for work for a couple weeks due to an injury.” Max said having a bad feeling about this guy. Something just didn't feel right, and he vowed to call Angyl at the number she left him and let her know about this guy. The number was at his house so he would have to wait until he closed the store.
“Well do you know how I can get a hold of her?” David said, while feeling the change in the older gentleman’s demeanour.
“Look Mister, I’m not giving out any of her info, so you can just come back in a couple weeks and talk to her.” Max said, trying to get this guy out of his shop.
David looked around, saw no one there, walked to the door like he was going to leave, and locked the door. He then flipped the sign to closed and went back to the elderly man.
“I’m gonna give you one more chance to tell me how I can get a hold of her.” David said smiling evilly.
“Get out before I call the cops, I'm not going to tell you shit.” Max said, knowing that he wasn't going to make it, but still hoping he would.
“Wrong answer.” David said, as he punched the guy and knocked him out. He then found a chair in the back office and taped him to it before the guy came awake. He was a patient man, he would just wait for the guy to wake up. It didn't take long.
“What, why am I tied up?” Max said, frightened for his life. He knew he wasn't going
