up and making their way toward the door.
I flipped the napkin over to see “Can’t wait for tonight” written in black marker on it. Smiling, I shoved it in my pocket and walked out. I looked around for Ace, but he was no where in sight so I headed to my car. While he might not be bothered by the cold, I was. Once in my car, I turned the heater on and watched the door. Ace came out a few minutes later. Without a care in the world, he opened the passenger door and got in.
“Uh, I guess I’m giving you a ride.” I frowned since his bike was at the bar.
“Yeah, we can come back and get my bike later. Its fucking cold out there,” he said.
“You just figured that out?” I shook my head.
“Whatever. Just drive. We’ll meet her at her apartment.” He pointed toward the road. Following his directions, I parked in a spot that was near her apartment, and we sat in the heat waiting for her to show. It felt like we sat there forever. Not a soul was around, not all that surprising considering it was after two in the morning.
Finally, though, her truck pulled up, and she hopped out. She glanced around the parking lot before frowning and heading toward her door. We both followed.
Chapter 5
Alicia
Just as I slid my key into the lock on my apartment, I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I ducked my head as a thrill of fear shot up my back. I had expected to find them waiting for me when I arrived, but they weren’t. Trying to fight back disappointment, I’d stuffed the box of condoms I’d stopped to pick up into my purse and headed toward my apartment. I hadn’t spotted anyone else in the area so the sound surprised and scared me at the same time.
“We didn’t think you were going to show,” a familiar voice came from behind me, making me feel like a fool. It was Ace. When I spun around and saw Adam was with him as well, I smirked.
“I had to stop to pick up a surprise,” I held up my purse before facing the door again and turned my key so I could push it open. “Please, come inside.”
Both looked at each other before Adam caved and walked in with Ace following. After shutting and locking the door, Ace toed off his boots and tugged off his socks. Adam did the same.
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Make yourselves comfortable.”
“You picked up a surprise. Plus, we all know the three of us have unfinished business,” Ace said, grabbing me around the waist before I had a chance to fully relax. My palms were sweaty at all the awkward things that could happen ran through my mind. Ace’s hands spanned my lower back as he brought me flush against him. “Deep breaths.”
“I’m trying here.” I sighed.
“How about you start with what our surprise is?” Adam asked. Looking over my shoulder, I found him sitting on my couch with his hands behind his head and feet on the coffee table.
“Uh, yeah. Right. I was late because I had to make a stop.” I stepped out of Ace’s embrace and picked my purse up from where I must’ve dropped it when Ace grabbed me. Pulling out the box of condoms, I proudly held it out to Ace before stepping around him to put my purse on the counter where I normally kept it.
“Condoms? Your surprise is condoms? What a lame surprise,” Ace scoffed as he threw the box to Adam, who caught them.
“Hey, thinking ahead. I like it. At least we know what she was thinking of. Really, it would’ve sucked to get everyone here and naked only to realize we lacked protection.” Adam, the voice of reason, said.
“Exactly,” I agreed. Deciding to get things started before I got too nervous, I pulled out my hair tie to let my hair fall around my face then quickly lifted my shirt over my head.
“All right, no wasting time.” Ace gave me a wolfish grin as Adam jumped off the couch and circled it to come up behind me. Hooking his fingers into my belt loops, Ace yanked my hips to his as Adam’s fingers worked on undoing my bra. Once the clasps were open, his palms ran down my
