    Brett kept to his morning routine after walking me to the bathroom and giving me my meds. I slept until he returned to the room at lunch with a couple of burgers. My appetite was finally back and I was starving. He tossed a bag of chips and a Clif bar at me before heading out for his afternoon classes.

“I hope you’re hungry because I brought a pizza.” She was wearing a snug, sweater-type dress and black tights. She looked amazing. I still didn’t know why she wanted to hang out with me but I appreciated the company.

    “Yeah, I’m starving...and a movie sounds great. I haven’t watched either of those so you can pick.” Maggie put a few slices on a plate and grabbed a DVD case from her bag. We watched the movie on my laptop so I scooted toward the wall and made room for Maggie to sit next to me.
    By the time Matt Damon and his friends were in jail, Maggie was cuddled up against my arm. My ribs were protesting the pressure but I didn’t dare complain. I liked the contact. It felt really nice to have someone warm against me. And by someone, I mean a smart and beautiful blonde coed. I closed my eyes and drifted off for the rest of the movie. When she leaned forward to stop the DVD, I opened my eyes. She moved the computer to the end of the bed and climbed into my lap, straddling my thighs.
    “Am I hurting you?” I shook my head. I was actually in a lot of pain but it didn’t matter. Her face was inches from mine and getting closer by the second. I let my eyes drift shut as her lips brushed mine. I didn’t move. I didn’t even breathe. Her skin was so soft. She closed her lips over mine and held my lower lip between hers for a moment.
