the video on Tuesday. We fly out tomorrow dude!” Jay laughed.

“Cool. Who’ d we get?” Nick told him it was the hot shot director from LA that they wanted and they got some porn models too.

It was like a slap in the face to Sam. Tonight would be her last night with Jay. She stood up and excused herself. When she was out of earshot Jay said:

“Guys cut it out,” Jay said as he watched Sam disappear around the corner to the ladies room. Nick laughed.

“Are you bangin her Jay?”  There was a roar of laughter from the others. “She’s a high class groupie man. Can I do her tonight? We could use footage of it in the video.” Jay looked at him and laughed.

“Not this one.” No, she was different to the others. She wasn’ t a groupie and despite the fact that he had fucked her brains out like she was one. When he made love to her, she touched something deep inside him. He called the waiter and ordered another round.

In the bathroom mirror, Sam looked at her reflection, and despite her being thirty four years old she looked so much younger. Her long dark auburn hair was her best asset and her green eyes were dazzling. She knew she was beautiful but just recently her confidence had taken a battering.

She applied fresh lipstick. Shook her hair and pouted. She would make tonight a night to remember. She knew that the other members of the band were just been crude to deliberately shock her, but then she grew up with four brothers, so she wasn ’ t easily shocked.

Back at the table Jay stood up as Sam approached. She smiled at him. He was definitely the hottest one in the band.

Sam noticed Damon sitting next to Nick and Pete.

“Damon; how lovely to see you!” Sam said in her sexiest voice. He stood up and kissed her cheek. They spoke briefly and Jay slipped his fingers through hers. Damon noticed and raised an eyebrow in Jay’ s direction.

Pete and Steve had disappeared and Nick and Damon were lost in chat. Jay had his arm around Sam and he kissed her cheek lightly. It tickled and she giggled. Nick and Damon looked over at them and Nick joked:

“Get a room, Dude!” Jay laughed and Sam flashed Nick a disapproving look.

“Guys, I’ m dropping Sam home.” He stood up. “Damon, catch you later man.” They shook hands and slapped each other on the arm. It was so American.

Outside, Jay hailed a cab and got in beside Sam. He took her hand in his. Sam was angry, but not with him. She knew Nick was a jerk but the way they talked in front of her made her feel like she was just another groupie.

As the taxi pulled up outside Sam ’ s building, Jay paid the driver and they went up to her apartment.

She switched on the light and Jay pulled her into his arms. She kissed him passionately. This had been the best weekend of her life. And tomorrow, he would be gone and out of her life. All she would have of this weekend would be delicious memories. Jay took her hand and led her to the bedroom. He undressed her slowly and kissed her tenderly all over. She responded to him.

Chapter Seven

The sun was rising in the sky, Sam kissed Jay ’ s chest. It was so smooth and tanned. He was tracing little circles on her arm.

“When do you leave?” She asked him. He groaned as he kissed her hair. She brushed herself against him.

“Babe, you make me soo hard,” she laughed and he said. “I don’ t want to leave. The flight is after lunch.” Sam kissed him; she didn’t want this moment to end. Running her fingers through his hair she looked into his eyes. They were such a piercing blue. How many women shared moments like this with him? She wondered. Sam pushed that thought to the back of her mind.

“Want a drink, Jay?” she asked huskily. She pulled on her silk robe and went into the kitchen. Opening the refrigerator door was something she had done a dozen times, yet doing it now had an almost elemental meaning.
