to his seat. "Cherry this is my mother Jillian and her husband…" Rob made a face. "God, it still feels weird to say that."
"You've got to let it go at some point." Brian chuckled.
"I know. I know." Rob cleared his throat. "This is Brian. And that's Brian's brother Jim and his wife Victoria. They're newlyweds."
"Congratulations," Cherry said.
After everyone had exchanged pleasantries, Brian whispered in Jillian's ear, "Doesn't she look familiar to you?"
"What?" Jillian replied a little annoyed.
"Forget it. I'll tell you later." Brian emptied his glass and motioned for the waiter.
George said, "So, Jillian I hear congratulations are in order. You're having a baby?"
"Twins actually."
"Wow, isn't that something," George began. "You're going to be busy for a while."
"I know." After glancing at Cherry's rigid nipples, which were blasting out of the thin material of her top, Jillian narrowed her eyes. "Cherry, how did you two meet?"
"In Vegas," Cherry began. "I spotted Georgie at the pool of the Hard Rock Hotel and it was like magic."
"So, you are gambling again." Jillian shot him a sneer.
"Oh, just a little bit here and there." George gave her a wink. "I've found that my disposable income has really picked up recently."
"You mean the salary I'm paying you."
"Well, you could look at it that way." George shrugged. "Ever since the trial and when you sold the movie… let's just say life's been a little easier with all the extra income rolling in."
Jillian sighed then announced, "This is some great country we have. You've really got to hand it to our legal system. I mean, even after I discovered him cheating on me in our pool, he's still somehow entitled to half of my income… forever."
"Hey, I thought we were here to celebrate." George frowned.
"I'm just stating the truth."
"Wow," Bridget exclaimed. "Is that really how it works?"
"Yes, that's pretty much how it works at least in the state of Florida," Jillian replied.
"Let's not dwell on the past. I prefer to look forward." George smiled and turned to Cherry. "Right, babe?"
"That's right." The two lovebirds shared a kiss.
Jillian mumbled under her breath, "Yeah, he's looking forward to spending all of my money."
"What's that?" Victoria asked.
"Nothing."
Brian widened his eyes. "So, um what do you do for a living, Cherry?"
She took a swig of her beer. "I used to do a little modeling, but now I'm retired."
"Huh." Brian nodded then glanced nervously around the room.
" Figures, " Jillian mumbled softly then she forced a smile. "I mean, that's wonderful that you could retire at such a young age."
"I couldn't be happier."
"I could really use a drink," Jillian grumbled under her breath.
Cherry turned to Jillian. "I've got to tell you that I just love your books. They've given me and big George here a lot of good ideas, if you know what I mean."
Jillian fought back a cringe. "Thank you."
"We especially enjoyed the tea blowjob thingy didn't we, Georgie?"
"We sure did." The lucky man flashed his lady a grin.
"Oh…" Cherry shook her head. "I know what I wanted to ask you, Jillian."
"I've read in the author notes about how your recent books are based on your real life experiences and I've read some of the earlier books. You know, the ones you wrote while you were still married to Georgie. Are those based on real life experiences also?"
"What?" Jillian looked at her like she wanted to kill her.
"Yeah, because there's a part in Lovers Lost where the couple uses a Popsicle stick and when I tried that with Georgie, he didn't really like it." She shrugged. "Maybe I did something wrong?"
Jillian gave Cherry a fake smile then turned to Brian and whispered, "Make her stop."
"Answer the question, Jillian." George took a sip of his beer then motioned to the waiter. "Please tell them where you got the inspiration for your earlier work because I don't recall the two of us, you know, doing a lot of, let's call it, Popsicle experimentation."
"George and Cherry, some
