Flesh: Alpha Males and Taboo Tales
couldn’t help but feel both scared from the last time and excited that I’d be meeting yet another dental employee. I had no idea who the dentist was and I couldn’t really remember the process of getting a tooth filled. I tried looking it up online and knew that they had to numb your mouth somehow, but that’s really all I remembered.
“Don’t worry, sweetie. It’ll be fine! Just be happy you never needed braces—that would’ve been more painful than this.” I gave her a pointed look. Yeah, like that helps. “Oh yeah, and before I forget to tell you, I won’t be able to wait for you this time because I’m helping your aunt with an errand. Can you get Tora to pick you up? I guess the mall’s so close you could probably just walk or bus there anyway, but here’s some money for the cab and some shopping if you find anything good,” she rambled on, reaching into her purse with her free hand to fish out a fifty to give me.
“Thanks, mom.” Alone at the dentist? Goodness, anything could happen now! I giggled at my own half-joke and noticed my mother glancing at me confused. “I just think it’s funny that you were giving me trouble for keeping you informed when you didn’t keep me informed either!” Damn, I’m a good liar.
Laughing, she responded, “I guess it runs in our family.”
Finally pulling into the parking lot, I grabbed my purse and jumped out of the car, taking my phone from the side pocket. It was flashing its stupid battery-eating LED light and I saw that I had a text from Tora: You down for shopping or not? xo. I began typing in my response as we walked towards the entrance: Yeah, can you pick me up from the dentist’s office? I should be done in about an hour and ready to partay haha jk.
Lol ya was the only response I got. Good enough for me!
Gliding towards the receptionist, she smiled brightly at me. “Hi Clara! Go ahead and have a seat, Dr. Hunter will be out in just a moment.” I smiled back and nodded my understanding, heading over to the lounge to take a seat.
“Clara darling I’m just going to go ahead and leave now, but I trust that you’ll be okay! If you need anything just call me, okay? Love you!” She pecked me on the cheek and darted back out through the sliding doors.
“Bye!” I called out after her, and turned my gaze back to the hallway where the dentist should be heading in from. Except there was already a man standing there wearing a white coat, and I swear he was checking me out.

“Mom not staying?” he asked, nodding his head towards the door, and I shook my head no. “You must be Clara. I’ll be your dentist today; I understand you’re going to be having two molars filled today? One on each side?”
“Yes,” I responded, hoping I contained my surprise. That’s my dentist!? Holy wow, he’s much younger than I expected. All of my dentists and doctors had always been at least in their forties or fifties, but Dr. Hunter must have been fresh out of dental school—he couldn’t have been older than his mid-twenties. As he led me towards his office, which happened to be on the other side of the dental office—in an area I’d never even been close to seeing before—I got a good chance to study him. He was trying to make small talk throughout the walk, attempting to make me comfortable, I’m sure. He didn’t really smile, though he did give a polite smile a couple of times and of course it was gorgeous, with perfectly straight white teeth. He had a light tan and dark brown hair with even darker brown eyes that burned into me every time he’d turn his gaze over to me. I followed him and responded with short yes and no answers, hoping that my responses made sense as I was already getting lost fantasizing about him. He stood at least a foot taller than me, and I could see the outline of his body even through the white coat. Delicious.
“Clara?” he turned to face me now, looking puzzled.
Shit. “Sorry, I didn’t hear you. What was
