    It only took three days of Neil being gone for me to start missing him. I was just stepping out of the shower and preparing for a night of mindless television to try to keep my mind off of Neil when there was a knock at my door.     “I guess his flight out was uneventful,” she said as she made herself comfortable on the sofa.
    “Apparently. He didn’t mention any problems. How have you been?”

    “Good,” she said smiling at me. “I’m curious about something.”
