came a deep sense of shame. “I can’t believe I’m such a total idiot in front of you. I’m either tripping, or dropping things or shoving my foot in my mouth. I don’t act this way with anyone else. I swear.”
    “Maybe I make you nervous.”
“Yes,” she admitted, chancing a look at him.
“You make me a little nervous, too,” he admitted.
    Her eyes widened. “Really?”
“Like the day you came over and tried to seduce me. You totally threw me for a loop.”
“I’m really sorry about that. It won’t happen again, I promise.”
“Gee, that’s too bad because I’ve had some time to think about your offer since then, and if you haven’t found anyone else, I’m your man.”
Holly tried to speak, then cleared her throat and hugged her arms to her chest. “I think I mentioned I was taking Yoga now.”
“Yes, I believe you did.” He looked her up and down with a heated gaze that sent tingles through her.
She opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted. “Forgive me, but I’m having a hard time believing any exercise class can make you feel the way--” He stopped, and then grinned. “Well, I’m sure you know what I mean.”
She dropped her arms to her sides. “Look, Kenny, I don’t know what got into me a few weeks ago, but I assure you I’m over it.” Which was a big, fat lie, but he didn’t need to know that.
    “Is that so?”
“Yes.” She went to move past him when Kenny’s hand shot out and touched her forearm. Even that brief contact sent electric charges up her arm.
    “I think you’re scared.”
Of course, she was scared, but she refused to admit it. “I am not scared. That took a lot of guts for me to approach you. I’ve never before done anything like that.” She flipped her hair away from her shoulder and caught Kenny studying her.
“What are you staring at?” she asked with a shrug.
“You drive me wild when you do that, you know?”
    “Do what?”
“That thing, with your hair,” he said, imitating her with a wave of his hand.
Flipping her hair drove him wild? She briefly wondered what other things would do the trick.
“If it means anything,” he said, giving her arm a gentle squeeze, “I’m scared, too.”
Not knowing what to say, she pulled away from him. “I really have to go.”
She refused to look back, knowing he would be watching her. Kenny wanted to have sex with her. Yet the whole idea made her quiver with desire. And fear.
Wasn’t that exactly what she’d wanted, to have sex with him? But now that he’d admitted he was ready, willing and able, could she actually do it?

CHAPTER FOUR
K enny had just shoveled in a mouthful of bran flakes when the patio door slid open.
“Good morning,” Holly said, shutting the door behind her.
Chewing his cereal, Kenny raised a hand in greeting.
Holly was wearing bib overalls with a long sleeve, faded, brown T-shirt, and flip-flops on her feet. Her face was free of make-up and her curls were secured at the nape of her neck in one of those elastic bands. She was dressed nothing like the last time she’d visited. Yet, Kenny thought she looked sexy as hell.
Boy, did he have it bad for her. Or was it simply because she was the only female he came into close contact with on a regular basis? Not that he’d seen a whole lot of her lately. It had been several days since he’d run into her at the grocery store. The day she’d told him Yoga had cured her of lusting after him.
Kenny had chalked it up to bad luck, his bad luck. Holly no longer wanted to have sex with him. So, what else was new? And after all the soul searching he’d done before deciding he was through fighting his attraction to her.
“Is Libby around?” she asked, closing the distance between them.
That’s when he noticed the puffy eyes and red nose.
“No, she went to Pittsburgh for the weekend. A medical conference,” he said, thinking Holly must have a cold.
“Oh.” She frowned. “I guess she mentioned it, but I must have
