exit. Any plans for this week while your mom’s gone?”
    Other than seducing
you? A nervous laugh escaped her lips.
“No. I’ll probably just hang out at the pool and work on my
tan.”
Daddy exited the highway and pulled
into a coffee shop drive-thru. The speakers crackled on.
“ Tell them what you want.”
He smiled.
Time to try out one of
those tips. She leaned across the car and
put her hand on the seat between his legs for support.
    “ Whoa.” He jerked
back.
With the other arm, she grabbed the
back of the seat to steady herself. “I’d like a mocha light, extra
whip.”
    The employee’s crackling voice came
through the speakers. “Can you repeat that?”
Daddy spoke loudly. “She wants a mocha
light.”
She lightly pressed her chest into
his. “Extra whip.”
    “ Extra whip.” He croaked.
His chest rose and fell in quick succession. It was working. All
those hours spent memorizing the magazine tips would finally pay
off.
“ Pull up to the first
window.”
She turned to face daddy. Her lips
were inches from his. She lowered her voice. “Thank you
daddy.”
He leaned forward a fraction of an
inch. Their lips practically touched. “You should sit
down.”
She eased back into the seat. She
smoothed the skirt into place as he pulled forward to the next
window. Maybe seducing him would be easy.
After about a minute, an employee
leaned out of the window. Daddy’s arms shot out to grab the drink.
He passed it to her then returned to the highway.
Kelly took a sip. The scorching hot
drink scalded her tongue. “Ouch.”
“ Take off the lid and blow
on it.”
She slipped a nail under the lid and
lifted it off. Steam curled into the air. She pursed her lips and
blew on the foamy whipped cream.
Daddy glanced at her then turned him
attention back to the road. “Be careful not to burn
yourself.”
    “ I know daddy.” She
giggled and took a sip.
    Daddy stared.
    “ What?”
“ You have whipped cream on
your lips.” His husky voice filled the space between
them.
She closed her eyes, stuck her tongue
out and slowly swirled it across her lips. As she opened them, a
truck swerved to into their lane.
    “ Daddy look
out!”
    “ Shit.”
He careened into the shoulder. The
brakes squealed and a riot of gravel kicked against the underside
of the car. He slowed to a stop.
“ Kelly, you can’t do that
thing with your tongue.”
    “ What thing?” She knew
exactly what he was talking about. An article about seducing
someone using food appeared in a magazine last month.
“ You distracted me while I
was trying to drive.”
    “ With my tongue?” The
question hung thick in the air.
“ Yes. No. Just, put the
lid back on that thing.”
Pleased, she snapped the cover over
the drink and set it in the cup holder. “I’ll just drink the rest
at home.”

Gary leapt out of the car desperate to
get away from Kelly. “I’ve got work to do.”
    “ Is everything okay
daddy?” The temptress’ little pink tongue flicked out from between
luscious pink lips.
    “ Fine.” He turned and
stalked into the garage.
When she didn’t follow, relief washed
over him. How could he resist someone so young, so sexy. He had to
find a way. Touching her was completely out of the
question.
He grabbed a piece of sand paper and
passed it over the table he was refinishing. Work would keep him
distracted.
He sanded and stained the piece in
record time. The summer heat seeped in through the cracks and sent
the temperature soaring. He stopped to wipe sweat from his
forehead. A cold beer sounded wonderful so he put away the tools
and went to the kitchen.
    A pitcher of lemonade sat
on the counter with a note. Kelly’s girlish handwriting sprawled
across the page. Out swimming.
He ran a hand over his face. The vixen
probably had the pink bikini on. It was hot outside. There wasn’t
any reason why he shouldn’t be able to enjoy the pool too. After
all, he paid for it.
    He dashed upstairs and tossed
